China has this chance to be the Asian global leader that would match American and European nations. But what it is doing is alienating its other developing neighboors. The Philippines and Vietnam are one of the top emerging economies in Asia. China should have won the hearts of these nation to be on their side. But, China wanted to lead other Asian countries by force, intimidation, aggression and bullying rather than by admiration and respect. They had this chance to topple US influence in Asia by winning the hearts of other developing nations, helping them rise with them. Just like what the US do with its allies in western Europe. But the Chinese are greedy. They wanted to be the only country at the top and see other countries under their feet.

Vietnam and Philippines my assumption is. Close your ears and focus on your development. China has no right on resources that is within your boundary. Don't allow China to bully you anymore. enough is enough, close your ears and concentrate on your rights to utilize your very own resources. stand your ground and don't rely on China anymore.

The Chinese claim that the islands in the West Philippine Sea belong to them because they were the first to discover those islands. If this is their basis, then by that logic, Marco Polo and his country, Italy, should own China, or perhaps Genghis Khan and Mongolia should also own China. Would China agree to Mongolia or Italy owning them? Does this also mean that if they were the first to discover the islands in the West Philippine Sea, then they were also the first to see the Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, some parts of Russia, Japan, Vietnam, India, Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and other neighboring countries (including Southeast Asian, Pacific Ocean, Indian Ocean, Middle Eastern, and Russian countries)? Of course, they wouldn't agree to Italy or Mongolia owning them because they didn't identify themselves as Italian or Mongolian. The Vietnamese government owes the Philippines for constructing facilities within the Philippines' exclusive economic zone (EEZ). The reason why the Philippines and Vietnam do not argue about this issue is that both countries are relatively small and non-aggressive, unlike China, which often bullies and harasses its neighbors whenever it has the opportunity.

The solution is simple. Both nations, Philippines and Vietnam should request to meet with the Chinese government and negotiate a partnership of sorts. Why? Because it's much more productive than a war with China. Other nations should stay out of the equation and encourage negotiations, not instigation and tough talk. Two rabbits partnering together to threaten a lion to stay out of their territory will lead to them being eaten, like a tiny snack. Negotiating may possibly allow the lion to have a heart and feel for them.

I didn't watch the video but I'm gonna make a comment from the thumbnail: "Will it be China vs Vietnam and the Phillipines?" My baseless answer is: No. Logically, it won't be just Vietnam and the PH. I believe Indonesia, Japan, and Taiwan will be involved as well. It's 5 vs 1, plus the U.S. who simply doesn't want a war with China in their doorstep will use those aforementioned countries as military bases to provide support (hopefully). Also, there's a theory that war can be avoided if the PH simply becomes friends with China. That is also false. As the latter wants us to swallow whatever shit comes from their ass and order us however they see fit. That is not how friends are made. Friends are equal to one another, but China clearly wants us to become servants. War is scary. Not one sane person wants a war. The Philippines need to work in coalition with Vietnam and Indonesia the soonest. ASEAN is divided and China is strategically exploiting this. It doesn't matter who distabilized this region, what matters is the way forward. Until the austronesian nations unite, only then will there be security in South East Asia. As the saying goes, if one desires for peace, one must prepare for war. And for this war to come, an ironclad regional alliance, especially those of austronesian blood is of the highest importance.
