I came to Shenzhen China right on a business trip right before the outbreak. In the Nanshan High Tech district. The streets are quiet and majority the people I interact with either had covid in Dec 2022 or is positive with covid. Comparing to my experience in other countries, it is spreading much faster. Not sure why but it is definitely an issue which needs to be addressed. Non-Chinese vaccines are not avaiable and fever/cold medicine are completely out of stock.

There are no Non-Chinese vaccines , because the negotiation with the US and EU for Chinese vaccines to enter their market never went through. So for fair trade , China don't allow US and EU vaccines to enter. However , US EU medicine for treatment are allow to enter China.

Because of the natural immunity in other countries. More people in other countries have caught covid multiple times, compared to residents in China. Chinese vaccines are also not very effective.
