I use to work in a toxic place. I was humíllate, scream at , prejudice towards me . And it was not only one person. But I defended myself till the end. I got sick. I used to have anxiety, headaches and heart beats. One day I quit . Never again

I'm 25 y.o. I really enjoy working in my company 40-50 hours a week. I count shop products in the stock room and on the salesfloor. I was accepted on this job without education, so, I'm also thankful to my company for that. My job is the most important part of my life. I feel nice with it. P.S. I'm not from Japan, I'm from Western Europe.

@@debu98 True. Also in India, I have noticed Toxicity in work environment is more. Even more with females bosses. Plus, in India, almost always, people are into their jobs for wrong reasons. No one likes their jobs.

@@debu98 It's feudalism in Indian corporates. Also those who can dance according to the manager's tunes, they get away with all the growth. I have been there and trust me it was hell. It was on 2007 anyways. I am thankful that I moved out of that country..

@@amphibious8872 It started with President Reagan when he fired all of the Federal Airport Controllers not because their demands are unreasonable but because Reagan does not want to admit he does not know how to handle the situation and refuses to listen to the logic and reasons of the Unionized Air Controllers and violated their Union Rights! The result? Reagan destroyed the power of the Unions that gave a greenlight to employers and higher ups to abuse their workers and destroy their protective unions.

I was in an extreme toxic workplace where i was called out for every little mistake and humiliated ruthlessly. Thank God I left within few months before the damage could be made permanent in my mind. No salary or workplace is worth your self respect and peace of mind

I am also in a similar situation, in am being humiliated at my work place day in and day out which in turn has taken a toll on my mental health. I am unable to work with my focus because my manager hurls abuses every now and then in front of other colleagues both senior and junior.

DARK REALITY OF THE UTMOST CORRUPTED ORGANIZATION ---''ACCENTURE~~~High Corruption Delivered". Julie Sweet--- Not at all sweet in reality but the most evil, shameless and demonic CEO ever existing in this entire universe. Recently Accenture is laying of 19000+ resources all over India officially but unofficially the actual count is over 40000 employees only in India, all over count worldwide is even higher than that. ---Accenture conducted interview as HR support advisor analyst for a HR cum trainer having a stable job and rolled offer to her and after onboarding placed her as support analyst and that's also in continuous night shift voice-based profile resulting in voluntary and premature resignation within a span of 3 to 4 months. Whenever the lady confronted HR and highlighted the issues that she got deceived by Accenture, HRs pressurized her to take up the role forcefully given to her after abusing her and not even sparing her parents and background. This is not happening with one person but this sort of false hiring is happening with multiple people so that they could build a crowd of lateral joiners from different experiences and can showcase these to clients that they have the right number of resources with a sole objective of getting a greater number of clients and projects. ---Talent Acquisition is doing their own R&D and only targeting people those who are having a stable job and also are the best resource in the industry and luring them with the correct roles and responsibilities, conducting false interviews and after onboarding channelling people elsewhere as per their wish and will keeping in mind that resources cannot go back to their previous job as well as they can’t look for immediate opportunities and this false hiring by Accenture is destabilizing the people's career totally. ---Micromanagement is irrationally and excessively high in the organization. ---Managers and HRs are taking money either via cash or check or by some other means from associates just to channelize them from one technology to another technology and from non-technical to technical within the organization and also for solving any issue. Managers and especially HRs(few are mentioned below) are extremely toxic and filled with pseudo integrity and pseudo loyalty for the organization, constantly pressurize associates to provide money either via cash or via check and if not given they give threat to the associates for termination. ---Accenture is taking laterals with the sole objective of exploiting them for a certain period of some months and after their exploitation is over, they are either laying them off or insulting them so much that the work place is becoming a challenge for them to sustain. ---HRs are having multiple side business inside the organization and the extreme authority of Accenture is not at all aware of the HR's doing dirty business inside the organization. HRs are having 2 sorts of business inside the organization--firstly they are taking money either via cash or via check or by some other means to channel internal associates of the organization from one technology to another technology and also from non-technical to technical also for resolving any issue. Secondly, they are running a referral bonus business with their own previous organization from Accenture. HRs viz. Sangeetha Raju, Ashwini Muddraja, Pushyami Malampatti, Aminder Kaur and Vallaki Dalvi are some shameless HRs who are engaged hand in hand for running the referral business and channelling people of Accenture to their own previous organizations respectively, additionally accepting money from internal associates for solving any petty issue either via cash or via check. ---Most highly corrupted, lusty, shameless and dirtiest HR Sangeetha Raju is doing this referral business from Accenture for many years way back from 2004 onwards, the year she got employed in Accenture and authority is unaware. She is channelling people from the organization i.e Accenture to her previous organizations i.e Infosys and NTT(formerly Dell) where she worked for 1 year and 2 years respectively before joining Accenture during two times of the year once in April and another in November so that during the bonus payout in Accenture in May and in December she gets the referral bonus from her own previous organizations at the end of May and at the end of December along with the Accenture's bonus payout with monthly salary. ---Her coworker Ashwini Muddraja and many others are impersonating as the HR of NTT(formerly Dell) and Infosys scheduling interview of Accenture associates whenever they are looking for job out of frustration and torture in Accenture and false interviews are getting conducted over there with NTT(formerly Dell) and Infosys with the sole notion and objective to channel people from Accenture to NTT(formerly Dell) and Infosys so that the referral bonus is given to Sangeetha Raju and her coworkers mentioned above gets benefitted from the referral bonus and again those employees are getting trapped because the same thing is followed over there also. ---One associate of Accenture tried for a transition in analytics and after getting a project in text analytics, he wasn't allowed to work because corrupted and dirtiest HRs like Sangeetha Raju and Ashwini Muddraja each asked him for cash of one lakh and there are many other cases where HRs are asking for money from associates and authority of Accenture is not doing any inquiry and letting these people continue to do their own side business inside Accenture. ---Likewise other HRs viz. Aminder Kaur, Vallaki Dalvi and Pushyami Malampatti and many others as mentioned are having their own referral business inside the organization from the year they have started their journey with the organization and Accenture authority as mentioned is unaware. @@wild4fp The thing is I hear of these behaviours in rogue workplaces and just wonder whether the law could consider this as discriminatory or indeed lawful towards other colleagues and as to whether more actions could be taken to punish the perpetrators. A total breakup of these departments is completely necessary as a matter of urgency before things get far worse.

I used to work in Capgemini Mumbai , The Manager Shailesh Palwankar was such a weak personality that he made sure the teams moral was Down and he played Divide and rule with ease. I think People don't Hate Corporations they hate Incompetent UnWorthy Managers. Teams Seldom Fail . It's the Managers who get thru with Favors and know little about the job - Fail. They make the Workplace TOXIC.

I am a 22 year old, joined my first company through campus placement. I thought it will be good atmosphere in company but after working for 7 months here, I realised there is so much negativity around, people talk behind backs, overworking, politics and much more. It is taking some toll on my mental peace as I was a quite a humours and positive person when I joined here but now I am not like that anymore. Waiting to get out of here soon.

I lost my jobs thrice times because of dumb management and Uneducated Hr . I mean who established this post ?? They are just for time pass. Whole day they just yelling in email . so cold rules n regulation for the employees but not for them .. Im coming from Banking sector . here they want our Cibil score 700+ but they offer you the lowest CTC . .I mean what kind of job culture is this ?

One of the main problems are managers who behave like strict school teachers . They need to understand that people joining a work place are adults n not kids. Rightly said.. all the stress I went through has contributed to my brain cancer. Now it's made me vegetative.

This is becoming a biggger and bigger issue, and we need to start speaking about it. Do not stay quiet, educate others to never put up with toxic people and work environment. Let alone work places. Toxicity starts from school level in India. My boarding school was extremely toxic. I would rather die than stepping my foot there again. I am employee now(my first job) and I have not experienced any toxic work culture yet- because I am yet to go to the office in person due to the pandemic. But, seeing to this video, I feel, toxic work culture at my work place is definitely a thing I should brace for.

Same here School was way too toxic My classmates especially other girls use to make fun of girls fat or darker skin tone or both(I was darker) and teachers would just ignore it and now in my first job i feel way too unappreciated When I do more work it is just ignored but when I don't complete daily quota every senior will start giving lectures on how lazy or irresponsible i m being Atleast college was not toxic it was happy and professors were supportive and will ignore everything except bullying, ragging and harrasment

My manager was so toxic I ended up getting hodgkin's lymphoma, I was so stressed out that I became sick. I was 25 and was working in Paris,France. I couldn't believe that there were real bully's at work. two years later I got sick looking back i wish i left.. Please always put your health first! If you get sick they will replace you. Nothing is more important than your health! Thanks for reporting this it's really important that people know that they are not alone and being bullied is unacceptable. but unfortunately it's happening :(

You can go into a workplace and meet psychopaths that you never imagined meeting as a child growing up and it can be very traumatic. When you're growing up, teachers and parents do not prepare you for the toxicity and mental, emotional and sometimes physical abuse that you will encounter. I have met people who would bully someone until they cried and they would laugh when they cried or gave up and lost their job.

This is such an important subject. So many people from the outset look successful simply because they have a great career. What families and friends don't see is the depression and anxiety an individual endures daily working in an environment that values fakeness, arse licking and back stabbing tossers. Having managers that value loud mouths and overlook the silent hard workers is a tragedy that only the suffering see.

Recently Accenture is laying of 19000+ resources all over India officially but unofficially the actual count is over 40000 employees only in India, all over count worldwide is even higher than that. ---Accenture conducted interview as HR support advisor analyst for a HR cum trainer having a stable job and rolled offer to her and after onboarding placed her as support analyst and that's also in continuous night shift voice-based profile resulting in voluntary and premature resignation within a span of 3 to 4 months. Whenever the lady confronted HR and highlighted the issues that she got deceived by Accenture, HRs pressurized her to take up the role forcefully given to her after abusing her and not even sparing her parents and background. This is not happening with one person but this sort of false hiring is happening with multiple people so that they could build a crowd of lateral joiners from different experiences and can showcase these to clients that they have the right number of resources with a sole objective of getting a greater number of clients and projects. ---Talent Acquisition is doing their own R&D and only targeting people those who are having a stable job and also are the best resource in the industry and luring them with the correct roles and responsibilities, conducting false interviews and after onboarding channelling people elsewhere as per their wish and will keeping in mind that resources cannot go back to their previous job as well as they can’t look for immediate opportunities and this false hiring by Accenture is destabilizing the people's career totally. ---Micromanagement is irrationally and excessively high in the organization. ---Managers and HRs are taking money either via cash or check or by some other means from associates just to channelize them from one technology to another technology and from non-technical to technical within the organization and also for solving any issue. Managers and especially HRs(few are mentioned below) are extremely toxic and filled with pseudo integrity and pseudo loyalty for the organization, constantly pressurize associates to provide money either via cash or via check and if not given they give threat to the associates for termination. ---Accenture is taking laterals with the sole objective of exploiting them for a certain period of some months and after their exploitation is over, they are either laying them off or insulting them so much that the work place is becoming a challenge for them to sustain. ---HRs are having multiple side business inside the organization and the extreme authority of Accenture is not at all aware of the HR's doing dirty business inside the organization. Had a very toxic supervisor at my previous work, she could be the sweetest human being one moment to being plain mean the next, she treated everyone badly but I was her main target. I remember breaking down at work a couple of times because of being accused of doing some thing I didn't in front of my colleagues. I became so anxious and I dreaded going for work, I started questioning my sanity coz I felt like I was imagining things sometimes and it wasn't just at work, she tried to extend her presence to my home, she would call me after work hour and on weekends to shout at me for one thing or the other which would ruin my only peaceful moments. I still dont understand why some people are like that.

Negativity like these is so contagious like you almost feel drained out and the person who do vent out on other had also something going on with them thats the reason they're frustrated but instead they like yelling out on other rather than seeing rationally whats the cause there. Its like negativity is carried forward to another person rather than ending and this keeping on going this create a toxic work environment. In your case deliberately trying to undermine you its better to leave such place and starting searching for a better place.

I can relate to the concept of favouritism, inner circle, gossip and celebration of over working. I worked 25 years of my life without vacation, without respect, without peace, withou health. I'm retired and very tired. The workplace destroyed who I am. I turned to be another person to be accepted. Very sad. If I could start again, I would never work for companies.

Nowadays resignation in the work place is more predictable in toxic work conditions than low salaries. It is true that the leaders should be more respectful, compassionate and gives recognition to whom credit is due. If the leaders in the work place are good, kind, understanding, tolerant people it will be cascaded to the rank and file. Toxic work place culture should be erased.

I have been working in a toxic environment for 8 years. Unfortunately in most developing countries we don’t have alternative places to get employment. My major challenge was always being belittled and manipulated. In organizations with projects, the offices turn into political battle grounds mixed with fights to manage funds on projects. Mistreatment of people, greed and blaming of juniors for all mistakes and losses becomes the order of the day. Toxicity is real and worse than a pandemic.

Same. Every job I've been started great then some new asshole manager/director gets hired and starts dismantling/ruining everything, then I have to start over somewhere else. They literally start cutting on absolutely random things. First they removed the free coffee, then start adding mandatory overtime, then start forcing impossible stats benchmarks which eat at your year end bonus... Just need to recognize when the shit starts better and start packing up early rather than being forced to live through hell for some months before leaving.

Yes Definitely. I was HR manager there and happy that I resigned. I tried to establish a different, healthy work culture and my rights were taken away. I had to take approval even for things like sending Appreciation token (which always got rejected). I was asked to not to intervene into labour problems as well. Uff

Oh, I'm working on it. I've switched my strategy and efforts to prioritize my mental health over career ambitions. I've established boundaries and enforced them. I've made it clear to my toxic so-called managers that the status quo and their abusive behavior is a thing of the past and will no longer be tolerated. And yes, malicious compliance has helped me a lot. Toxic managers deserve toxic exployees.

Good for you, Morgan!! Most of my jobs have been toxic environments. These toxic supervisors need to be report it and they need to be held accountable for all the toxicity. I have been dealing withthe same bs for too long, now I do not tolarate that bs for long. Plus, I have been reporting these toxic people, regardless if they are co-workers or supervisors. I always end up being booted out and deal with the aftermath, it is super hard, but I won't stay quiet anymore. I will always speak up, warn others and keep moving on until I find a place where I will be appreciated and respected at my work place.

Competition and the desire to compete can create this "All about Me" Mentality. The Boss should be a leader, not just a manager. Many managers do not want anyone else taking credit. So if you have an idea, they may claim it as theirs. Society is is not being taught to be ethical or moral. Everyone does what they want and lacks the ability to put others first. If they do possess good morals and ethics, those who don't try very hard to run you over. Love, respect, truthfulness, kindness.. Start in the home by example, but that still does not guarantee that those who were raised that way will live that way. Schools have a big influence on our children. The ideas, and beliefs of others (children and adults) can have a strong influence on what the child winds up accepting as true or false. After all, the child is with the school for 6 to 8 hours a day. Many one parent homes may not have the ability to shape the thoughts like a 2 patent home. Many 2 parent homes have nannies and babysitters because both parents are working. Children are in Daycare all day. Parents in the home may not be mentally available due to abuse or drama etc. We live in difficult times. Best wishes to us all!

I used to work in a Tesco store during my study in London. My store manager was extremely rude. He used to threaten me almost everyday with dismissal during my probationary period. He used to shout, give less hours, less pay etc. As an international student in UK, i had very limited option. But i ended up quitting Tesco just after 7 month of joining. I lost my interest in jobs. I have chosen to do business.

The first step should from the Govt should be to reduce the work hours from 48Hrs a week to 36 Hrs, a week & thereafter 4 days work week. Making it 9 hours a day. If this is implemented strongly (which I doubt in India!!) then atleast work- life balance shall help in reducing toxicity. Keeping the hrs at 48 and week days at 4 (12Hrs a day + 2Hrs. travel) makes no sense at all. Thats why we need educated people as netas and not these....

Most of the examples are from the West? Are Indian work places any better? After working in the Manufacturing industries for a quarter century, I quit the job in 1996 and have never regretted it. We Indians are accustomed to working like slaves. The British have inculcated this habit in us. The foreign customers of Indian companies know a sweat shop when they see one. The employees can’t take a day off unless the customers agree! Youngsters work for eleven to twelve hours routinely. WFH has only made it worse. I have seen in Europe and Singapore even salesperson in the shops and malls walk out on the dot, at the end of the working hour. An Indian employee dare not do this. He or she would be stigmatised for not “pulling“ together with the team.

It is normal in India to get abused by managers. You will work day and night even on weekends but your work will be counted in managers account and you will be abused only and given false hope. We blame attrition rate is high but ask to HR of that company if they tried to stop by promising good pay. Here in India HR takes everything on their ego and they will pay double to new resource but not try to stop you for going to other organisations. Companies will ask you to work on new technologies but will never think of paying as per that. IT looks a lucrative job but only employees knows here how much you learn and study on weekends. Even Saturday Sunday's goes like learning new things but if you are not good in playing politics at job place then you have to switch the job only to match the pay as per your skills.

I think in India toxicity is at another level. Due to the hierarchical nature of our semi-feudal society. These Team Leaders(TL) and Managers treat those "below" them like their servants. Just like they see people of 'lower' classes being treated in the larger society. I recently had a fight with my female TL because she was forcing too much work on whole team. She made our life hell, I used to work overtime everyday and even on weekends without any extra pay just to fulfill those targets. I eventually refused, nobody else in team ever dares to say NO to her. She complained to the HR, HR took her side despite me having evidence of her being abusive and always being threatening towards subordinates in group chat. Eventually she managed to have me get kicked out of the Company. Still jobless since then not able to find job in this current economic situation...

Dinner with family, free weekends, If those things existed for Resident doctors, we would actually enjoy our lives. Residents don't get holidays, "patients don't get holiday" they say. Residents work 100+ hours every week, and they're responsible for anything that happens even when they're not on duty, Many times duty hours strech past 36 hours, We laugh when others say they have toxic work culture. I'm a teacher at a private academy. I took a mental health day when a student was shot and sent to the hospital. I cried for hours. When I got back to work, my coworkers were poking fun at me for taking a mental health day. Work place toxicity happens everywhere. 90% of the companies in our country treat their workforce as dogs and pigs, accounts department people are forced to maintain two accounts (black and white), no respect for holidays, no stipulated working hours, lunch break, boses are highly selfsented, I am the boss attituded, I am 58 yrs old till today I am facing all the aforesaid problems and working for pittance, I have not saved any money for my retired life. To be noted in the video, the toxic boss is a 'he' and the victimised employee a 'she'. This is generalisation is also very toxic. This has led to a culture now where male employees can be bullied freely and everything is considered fine as long as its not sexual harassment. Sexism works both ways and this seriously needs to stop.

Well I too have heard from an upper level position holder of a company that girls will be given leave in evening but boys will be held until night or may be late night. And he was completely shameless in saying it infront of many people. Isn't it partiality?

100% true. Most today the people only want money. Most of the people don't care about happiness. They only want money and many think that if we get more money we get more happiness. But that's not true. People should realize this

I remained confused as to the problm was with me only and I was not upto the work despite putting hard work into it.. Then I realised it was my environment that made me feel this way. Thank God now.
