FAB 3000 is medium size. Please note - 5000 and 1000 are on the way. Bugger FBS requires a different glide system which is under evaluation currently. If nukes are still not a choice for now. Bigger glide munitions will be developed and used. Tactical nukes in USSR arsenal was started from 78 kTonn

This a proxy war between Great Powers, similar to others where the US failed, Afghanistan, Syria, Libya, Iraq, Vietnam, Korea, etc. and one where the US prevailed, Soviet-Afghan War in the 1980s. They could have used nukes but didn't, cos it would invite retaliation and escalation. It keeps the arms industry happy, NATO soldiers get some experience testing out new weapons for old fashioned trench warfare and the locals are expendable, unfortunately. And just as important, it serves as a distraction for politics and a reason why we have to accept a lower standard of living.

Were the Germans that supported the Nazis innocent as well. Where millions of Jews were being massacred in those ovens in the cities and knowing well what was going on. Similar to how the US only sells military hardware to India's nuclear neighbour Pakistan. It might incentivise them to purchase Russian missile defence systems and strengthen their military alliance with Russia. They already sell Russian oil to India to resell to Europe for a handsome profit.

What is the connection between the Germans' manic love for superweapons and Russian practicality? The FAB, very cheaply upgraded to a glide bomb, is simply a very striking example of Russian practicality. These bombs were produced back in the days of the USSR, their shelf life has almost expired and they need to be disposed of somehow by being taken to military training grounds and detonated. Instead, the Russians use them in war after cheap modernization.
