Yesterday only, Nepal has opened few more gate of dam n the water level raised in many parts ...Bihar gets flood due to two river ganga n koshi ....ganga's crosses flood level once state of India faces heavy rain but whenever koshi's water level raises the sole reason is gate of Nepal's dam ..

Am on the other side of the globe. Seasons are unstable now. We have a dry season where it's not suppose to rain a drop for 1,5 month. This year it lasted 2.5 months and much hotter. The year before, it rained every week even if not much. If their season is affected do you think it's possible it ca be worst but also maybe the rains will be lesser going into it ?

Due to snowfall and heavy rainfall occurring around the Himalayas in the slopes region and due to the water coming from China in the Brahmaputra River and rainfall is also highest here. Dams only ease flooding during average flood periods. The effects of serious floods (like we have now) are aggravated by the dams because they have to release water at exactly the wrong time. The bigger the dam, the bigger the problems they can cause.

I don’t understand the ruthlessness and negative energy of this comment section. The three gorges dam is a vital source of energy for the region since it creates large amount of power without adding to the carbon emission. Yes, it has consequences like harming the ecological environment. Wishing the fall of the dam is the same as wishing the people to go without power and food. How can people talk about karma with such malicious intent that goes against peaceful Hindu teachings? I don’t know if the CCP “cares” about its people but it’s economic goal is definitely there to boost more people into the middle class. If you’re going to talk about the failures of “communism” which never existed, compare the progress of India with China and you see which one has done more goods for its citizens

By the way, Indian plate is moving at a pace of 5 cm/ year which caused 2015 earthquake in Nepal... You should also had missed those 5 cms.
