Gravity Falls└◬┘Dipper and Mabel vs the Future - Ending *SPOILER ALERT* 

This is the direction Kids Show's need to be going in. We need thought-provoking shows that know when to be funny, but also heart-wrenching (like this episode). Kids/Tweens aren't idiotic. I don't need any more Teen Titans Go.

Honestly, the end credits is the most disturbing. The happy, colorful birthday poster while you hear people screaming and things being destroyed. Just.... *shudder*

Wow... Almost made me forget how scary Bill can be.... Actually imagine if this WAS the final episode of the show... What a fucked up way to end it, don't you think so? ^^'

Those end credits I would never think they would be from a Disney cartoon

It's really annoying how everyone blames Mabel for handing over the rift. She's not an adult, she's twelve (you seriously want a twelve-year-old girl to get punched in the face/die? Really?). And it's not just about summer ending, it's more about losing her twin. The rift between them has been forming since ATOTS, it's not just this sudden thing. Her worst nightmare came true over the course of a single day, and she's just kind of done at this point. She's not completely innocent, but all the blame doesn't go to her either. Most people in this comment section, given the same situation, would do the same (including me, I'm not being a hypocrite). So lay off, direct your anger away from a fictional child character and towards REAL things that actually deserve it.

this is kind of Stanford's fault. He didnt want to tell mabel about the rift so mabel ,not knowing about to rift, gave it to bill becuase of FORD

I've been reading the comments here (thank you for leaving them btw!), and I thought I might shed some light on some of the issues you guys raised: 1. Is this the last episode? Nope! There are 22 episodes I believe in season II, so we still have 5 episodes left. 2. The cryptogram message at the ending credits *"DID YOU MISS ME?"* 2b. The cryptogram at the end page: *"THE PROPHECY SEEMED FAR AWAY, BUT FINALLY WE'VE REACHED THE DAY, GIVE UP THE PAST. EMBRACE THE STRANGE. EVERYTHING YOU CARE ABOUT WILL CHANGE."* 3. Is this Mabel's fault? I don't believe so, not entirely anyway. I think this is more the fault of everyone. Remember Stanford and Dipper agreed to tell no one about the rift, so Mabel had no idea what she was handing over to Bill. To be fair though, she should still be mindful of the whole "trust no one" business. Also, Dipper left the rift in his bag (which I'm surprised that it was still intact after all he and Ford went through), which he should've handed over to Ford after the events earlier in the episode. 4. Why Blendin Blandin be possessed? Couple of theories have been thrown around over this, but I like to think that it had to do with the goggles/glasses. I'm sure that if Mabel saw Blendin's eyes before handing over the rift, she would've known straight away that it was Bill. So he would've had to find someone who normally has their eyes concealed with something! 5. WHY ALEX HIRSCH WHY?? Because he's a bloody genius xD Again thanks for commenting guys. I remember a couple years ago, before I knew what Gravity Falls and other shows like that were (this was like a year or 2 before The Owl House and Amphibia came) and I was just minding my own business, watching tv on vacation. And then I turned on Disney channel, and saw this. I had no idea what was happening at the time, but that final part with Ford saying “It’s the end of the world” and the happy poster being the only thing you see as you hear people screaming in terror and laser destruction and monsters making their way into the world, that stuck with me.

2:52 That’s The Most Chilling Part, hearing screams, car alarms, lightning, and a helicopter, which means the government is trying to stop Bill, with the photo on something that is supposed to be happy.

Just finished watching the finale, what an epic journey it was! Lets not forget to thank Alex Hirsch for an amazing two seasons! :D

this is long When adding up all the results, Mable holds the mist blame. Why? Because she is selfish. A hidden trait fans don't often see or dismissed. Mabel is highly selfish just like how Stanley was when he broke Fords project in high school. In both instances, both Dippers and Fords hard work and determination gave them a once in a lifetime opportunity they can't deny. Ford was offered a scholarship to a collage while Dipper was offered to work with Ford, both opportunities needed sacrifices, that sacrifice was to spend lest time with family. Both Ford and Dipper wanted to make the situation work. Ford offered Stanley to visit him while Dipper suggested that he will keep in contact with Mabel. Of course both Mabel and Stanley both rejected it and only thought about themselves. we know for a fact that dipper sacrifices many things for her sister, Bill Cipher even said that at the same time, I don't recall Mabel putting herself in a disadvantage for dipper. Of course in this episode, dippers hard work has paid off and he has considered Mabel ' s feelings but rationally decided it was the best for him. Mabel didn't consider Dippers feelings at all, only hers and that led to the apocalypse.

I bet Mabel is gonna have PTSD after seeing Blendin take off his goggles to reveal Bill's glowing yellow cat eyes.

Gee, it's almost like you should have told Mabel about the rift so she could have known it wasn't just your average Gravity Falls weird trinket and not to just hand it over to people.

FOR ANYONE BLAMING MABEL, READ THIS. Alright, listen up. It most certainly wasn't her fault. It was doomed from the start. If a certain thing happened in the past, it can lead to triggering events in the future. Mabel contributed, but, a small amount. Think about it. If Stanley hadn't destroyed Fords project on accident, would this would've happened? No. Everything would've been normal, except Stanley being potentially homeless. Now Dipper. If he would've followed Bill's rules, and kept himself from being nosy, despite the many warnings he got from Bill, AND Grunkle Stan, in which he betrayed in Scaryoke by making a promise, then not following it, do you think this would've happened? No. Okay, now Ford's flaws. He disobeyed orders, much like Dipper, read the incantation, even though it specifically said. "DO NOT SUMMON AT ALL COSTS," do you think this would've happend? That's right. It wouldn't. This was Bill's plan. He's the mastermind behind this. The timeline was doomed from the beginning. Everyone is flawed and has the equivalent amount of contributions to Weirdmageddon. She isn't selfish, she was in a confused state of emotion. She had no acknowledgment of the rift, so how could've she known it would've been bad? That's like giving you a test you don't know shit about. You don't know right from wrong, so you go with your gut. That's what she did. She wasn't right, but how was she supposed to know? She wanted to be with her brother, and she wanted her brother to be with her, and to be there for her. "But, she prevented Dipper from pursuing his dream job." Well, look at Ford. He did what he wanted to do. Guess what? He separated from his twin, went crazy, then got trapped into his work for 30 years. She knew something would've happened to her twin if he stayed in Gravity Falls. Have you even seen twins before? They're inseparable. It's hard to be apart from each other, especially with a relationship like theirs. They've both been there for each other, since they were kids. Mabel just felt betrayed. Moral: "It's not her fault. Everyone contributed, but that's okay. Everyone has their flaws, then they learn from them." *Drops mic*

I love Gravity Falls cause I love Mabel's silliness & Dipper's seriousness. I grew up to loving mysteries & myths, Gravity Falls is basically my Fantasy World. I will always cherish Gravity Falls forever, no matter what. I basically am crying for joy & sadness cause I know Gravity Falls will never be forgotten & i'll never forget anything about it. Gravity Falls is basically what I always talk about. Having some things coming up from thin air is what I love and some unexpected things. I'll never forget Mabel's silliness, Dipper's seriousness, Wendy's chill & crazy moments, Soos's weird moments & Stan's mysteriousness. I'll never forget Bill's quotes and other stuff. I basically live for theories & myths, I hope that everyone will remember Gravity Falls!

That's approximately 20,000,000 times longer than the average human lifespan Let me make it clear how ridiculous that is. If you were to walk around for 13 billion years the distance you travel would be 60 light years. Walking 60 light years is like walking the full circumference of the sun... A hundred and fifty million times.

The final episode came out today! It won't be on RU-vid for awhile possibly. Just watched it, the most intense and sad thing I have ever watched.

Who else cried at the end? I was remembering all of the fun awesome episodes and just started crying. I don't know. I'm not saying I'm happy it's over, and I'm not saying I want more. I think everything was just perfect. Gravity Falls was beyond amazing and will always be my favorite cartoon.

That's it, I want Bill as a superboss in Kingdom Hearts 3.

Where was the keyword for vigenere key? I recorded the show and tried any word that showed up (Teens Now, beavers, weirdmageddon, party hack, birthday, party, thirteen) and 3-letters backed/forwarded and inverted each with no results aside from the occasional end for "GI".The decision to use Blendin was genious. Not only because of the glasses, but because he is from the future. He would be within reason to talk about dimensional abnormalties across spacetime, and the twins know this to be true. He is also not too close to the Pines twins, so an encounter between them isn't so regular that slight differences would be suspected. Bill makes great use of the inconvenience Mabel goes through, perhaps relating the twins to the previous Stan mystery twins, and their fate. I'm curious to see what happens to Mabel, induced to rest amidst the end of the world.
