@@zetaabsbs2329 As a Season 1 episode, yeah. It just felt strange for things to go back to normal again. Especially for Stanley, who after years of forcing himself to learn something he was never interested in just to find his brother, only to be met with spite; a more accurate next episode after Ford's arrival would've been that episode where Stan got jealous and decides to run for Mayor. Or this. Plus, the show never really touched on Ford's character-- _especially_ Ford and Stan's relationship. It's kind of why I felt that Stan's outburst against Ford felt a little too shallow. I get that Stan's supposed to be shallow, but all his anger against Ford is justified, I just don't really think it was executed well since we don't actually get to see more of Ford and Stan.

Since Gravity Falls is the center of all weirdness in the show, I always thought that Ford built the Shack using some sort of non-euclidean wood or something

Yeah that's the only problem I find with just the 2 seasons, is how Ford and the Journals weren't fleshed out more. Ford is fantastic and deserves more development. At least we have a bunch of GF books and stuff that help with that! ❤

The cast of gravity falls nearly died multiple times cuz of overworking on the show.

Although we all would have loved a third season of this show, especially for more character development, I wouldn’t want to force it because of the burnout the cast got from it. I’m glad they were still able to work through it and still make an awesome show with only two seasons. Though I still wish there were more fan-made episodes on the internet, because we’d get to see what ideas others had. Sad that I can’t find any others besides the ones made by this guy.

Something tells me we might still get a Spinoff, but probably not a season 3! We could see more of the first two journals-despite them having been released, we could see the black light stuff and even see more hidden codes :3

A lot of this episode are things that we wanted to see happen with Ford in the show, but just never did (Like him meeting the townsfolk for the first time since his return, and them reacting to him)

Thank you! Part of the reason why we chose to do this plot was to explore the dynamic Stan and Ford had during this time period of the show, which was unfortunately never focused on because they were kept apart. (Though I get why, it was pretty tricky to not have them talk about their issues, so we just had them interrupted whenever it was brought up). But yeah, we tried to keep the continuity between the show, Quest for the Northwest, and also the real life journal 3 as intact as possible, so hopefully it now seems seamlessly integrated into the canon.

Thanks for the link. Skimmed over it, but I have to say that we already have our own story for Deep Woods planned out, and have started writing scripts for it over a year ago, so we're not really taking suggestions for it. I'm pretty proud of what we came up with, and I hope you will enjoy it too. Couple of things though: We will stick as close to the tone of the original show as possible. We wanna do a Gravity Falls sequel, and by switching up too much, it wouldn't be the same. Some of the things you mentioned in the doc are things we wanted to do anyways, so if you notice any of those, it's not that we took your ideas without telling you, trust me. We are gonna introduce a few new characters, but not just to mix things up, but to play into the plot. We are still mostly going to rely on those characters that people have come to know and love already. There's still a lot of stories you can tell that develop these characters, and we will try our best to do so. They will continue to learn and grow, and change over the course of Deep Woods. Also, we included the Durland and Blubs thing because it's something Alex Hirsch would have done if he could, without the censors jumping him. We don't have censors, so if we want to be more explicit with Blubs and Durland, we would do that. Now, of course we won't do everything that Alex would have put in, to keep with the spirit of the original, but we will play it a bit looser with what we can put in. After all, the kids are growing up, only makes sense to have the show grow up with them.

The blood part sounds like Little Shop of Horrors.

Stan is one of the biggest cheapskates ever. He charges people for the most basic things. Like 5 bucks a hat or sticker. It takes money just to enter. He forces sues to work as weird stuff all the time

And beyond that, he will ruin other attractions and vandalize them for more to go to his place. He is insanely cheap.

But he has a heart of a very nice uncle
