Between Stan and Doofenshmirtz, I'm convinced that show creators who voice characters in their own shows write lines like this just because they want the fun of saying them.
The best part is that he does have a ladder if you go to the unconvincing or whatever that episode is called Wendy takes them up to the roof via ladder 😂😂

I imagine they are both saying it because if the armageddon became a reality, the world economy would crash. Banks would stop operating, bills would stop being print, and the world would revert back to the the old currency of trade, in which Gold had the highest value. I mean think about it.
Fun fact: When Stan says “Burn the child,” his lips mouth “Blind the child”, which was his original line before disney made them change it-the animators didn’t seem to get the memo

It’s a lot less heavy to say a ray of light is going to ‘burn’ a kid, and not specify how intense the burn would be, than to plot about dealing the irreversible damage blinding a child with a magnifying glass and the sun would cause. Also probably don’t want Timmy to use his laser pointer on his friends and call this show his inspiration when he’s in the principals office
the scene in Little Dipper episode, when Gideon said, ''MY LIGHT!'' to Stan (he actually meant the light that can zoom in and zoom out things) and he replied, ''You are the light of my life too.'' before closing the door got me laughing so hard. GOSH I LOVE THAT MAN.

There's so much more sketchy, disturbing stuff between Bill and Grunkle Stan but if you wanna know all of it watch Matpat's Video on it (on Film theory). With everything in the show I can't tell if that's forshadowing for something much darker or if Alex Hirsch is meming on us since he voices both of them XD
Intentionally. My theory is, Alex Hirsch is in this world and can take for of any character he (voice)acts, including in other cartoons, explaining their similarity and all-knowing-ness. He is THE almighty god and THE bad guy. Bill wasn’t the end.

If you think about it, Bill Cipher is one of the most quotable because people are trying to figure out the sense behind his madness. Everyone else is because they are shocking, relatable, or funny. 😇
