What this young man does is beautiful. To me it adds to the beauty of the wilderness, these sculptures speak volumes of mans' harmony with his/her surroundings in nature. To achieve the making of one of these sculptures, says a lot about the intuitive nature of the artist in achieving a perfect balance. Thank you Michael Grab, excellent work!

Are these the same as a rock cairn? The first time i saw these was at a music festival in connecticut . It was called the vibes. And yes .…..there were many options available for psychodelic experiences . I wonder if he was the guy who made those cairns that i saw at that festival?

these rocks can stand up to wind it depends on their weight if they are small and the wind is strong they will fall over however if it is secured by a decent weight well....................

is it possible? how can it afford the blowing by wind?

The balancing is interesting, but go do it in a landfill rather than already beautiful natural spaces. My initial reaction is to clear them out -- there exist enough reminders of man's attempts to control the natural. Move them aside so I am not reminded of that fact. In a dump, on the other hand-- or perhaps a distressed urban landscape-- I would probably see these as things of great beauty.
