I JUST discovered Mary.... I was watching the miniseries "Gods and Generals" about the Civil War. She sung the opening song, "Going Home" and now I am completely mesmerized by her voice, her music, and how she can take words and turn it into such a beautiful story that moves your soul. WOW!

This is a large, electronically enhanced concert recording. You should see her in a small venue. She chats in a voice that's pretty but quite soft and normal -- then she starts singing, using the venue's cheap amps and sound system AND SHE SOUNDS JUST LIKE THIS!!!! Amazing.

Mary Fahl (former lead singer of October Project) : Mary, Will you ever tour in Texas, especially in Dallas?? I do go to Pennsylvania about once a year where my parents were born and raised, but I go to a town about one hour south of Pittsburgh! Do you ever have shows in Pittsburgh? I could arrange my vacation to catch a Pittsburgh show if you were to have a concert there. Also, will you ever release any albums on vinyl??? I have pretty much stopped buying CD’s and buy only vinyl now. I am 62 so streaming still hasn’t hooked me yet. Have a Merry Christmas. Your new Christmas album is one of the best I have ever heard. Gawd ... this is movie stuff. Last scene of something I gotta write -- -- a man & a woman, bruised & battered from some long ago war ... walking, stumbling into the middle of the gentle river ... the last rays of day streaking across their ultimate reunion. I have never head such a beautiful voice. I'm listening to this as I work on editing and blogging. Her voice is so lush and rich with an amazing throaty husk to its timber.
