Very good review. I like how you showed and explained the trigger pull, short reset travel, and how the straight trigger prevents your finger from rubbing along the bottom of the trigger guard. I just ordered the short reset kit for my P30SK. I wish I had seen your video first and I would have also ordered a straight trigger.
After installing the GG flat trigger and short reset, I sent my p30 to Rick at Lazy Wolf to do the MRAP trigger job and man…. It takes the P30 to a whole new level. He did the MRAP on my USP Tactical too, and the reset is insane. He truly does amazing work! Excellent video
So I have been trying to figure out what the mrap is exactly and I keep getting different information can you tell me or point me where to find out lol

I agree that the first John Wick movie is the best🙌🏽 also I honestly think the HK P30L is his best gun until Taran Butler got a hold of this franchise then he highly influenced the changing of his arsenal into other firearms.
Good video. I’m guessing you’re saying you felt flex in stock trigger during hard second strike double action pull? There’s no way it flexed pulling the light lem. No weight until the wall and then 4.5-5.5 lb pull. The trigger is not that flimsy
I thought it was agreed upon that color fill is passé? I have the GG parts + to build mine, but never cared for LEM, so mine is DA/SA & in .40 All I've accomplished so far is taking trigger weight measurements; 8#/4# stock, can't wait to check it after. I like color fill, I did my USP 20 years ago & it's held up ;)
amazing video, I just got a da/sa p30l. I was confused about the LEM I was under the impression that every pull was long like the first pull, I assume it would be if you fully drop the trigger but that was the impression I was left with when other people talk about it.
Howd you get the red color etching on the HK Logo ? Looks badass... Also whats your take on the P30sk v1 ? Do you own one? I've the P30L v1 and a vp9 thinking about buying the p30sk v1.....
Very good review of the grey guns kit I’ve heard that short reset makes all the difference in the world with these. I keep going back and forth between the v3 and V1 LEM. Haven’t been able to find any locally to compare them against each other sadly. Although my LGS just got a P2000 V3 and I’m seriously considering it. Btw what’s the trigger pull weight difference between the V3 single action mode and LEM? Is the DA/SA any lighter and crisper trigger pull in single action compared to LEM? I feel like it’s just personal preference but if one trigger pull is better out of the box maybe that might be the deciding factor for me.
I was having the same dilemma about whether I should buy the v1 and v3. What sealed it for me was the v3 has a decocker and the v1 does not. Decocker on a hammer fired gun is a must for me as pulling the trigger and catching the hammer ever time I stopped shooting before emptying the mag is crazy in my view. You can always work on the DA/SA trigger to make it more like a LEM, but you can never make a LEM have a decocker
@@t-rex7796 I’ve never had to do that on a LEM. Yes it goes into DA pull weight after you pull the trigger and release the hammer spring. But LEM is designed so that you get the long trigger take up of a DA pull but with the pull weight of SA. Different mode of operation but to me it’s all the same. I’m not decocking when I carry it so I’m not pulling the trigger with a round in the chamber. I just rack a round in, the hammer falls forward, and I can safely holster by putting my thumb over the hammer. If something gets in the trigger guard during holstering my thumb will stop the hammer from going back. It’s just as safe that way as a DA in that regard. Once it’s holstered there’s so no way the trigger is getting pulled in a kydex holster. So it’s a non issue for me the way I carry. But I do love DA/SA guns with decockers. My CZ P-01 I carry that way decocked in DA mode for first trigger pull. It’s just a little bit different way of thinking with LEM that’s all. Nothing inherently more or less dangerous if you know how to use it properly.
DIY Dad yeah those are some great points there. I must confess that while I have always had a passion and interest in military history and firearms, I am a relatively new shooter and gun owner (also why I am probably over cautious), so it sounds like you know way more about it than me. Having said that, when your at a range/competition and you have finished your obstacles for that round but your mag is not empty, how do you decock? Or does the hammer not lock back after the slide cycle on a LEM?
@@t-rex7796 all the ranges that I’ve been to where I shoot competition all have more or less the same procedures with the RSO’s they will have you keep the muzzle pointed down range, drop magazine, rack slide to remove round, and dry fire the gun and then reholster. Now depending on the match and the rules sometimes it might be a little different but typically in the two gun matches I’ve been to they will start the stage off with rifle and once you transition to pistol you have to finish the stage with pistol for safety, just because there’s people of all skill levels and types of guns at these matches it’s just for safety, it’s the same procedure for striker fired pistols and everyone else.

Out of curiosity though, if you stop firing mid way through the mag with a LEM, does the hammer stay cocked or go back to the resting position? If it goes back to the resting position I think the sales person sold me the lesser version hahahaha (I still love my p30l though)
Can you pick the trigger you want? I noticed people who talk about the gray guns they show either this version or the normal looking trigger for some reason
Maybe I got lucky, both my p30L and Sk had short reset out of the box. I came across this video before I do the upgrade and mine before looks exactly like your after. Very strange
@@HoustonT17 this is very strange as I would expect HK to have consistent triggers in the same model guns. I have a p2000 lem and the part from Gray guns made a big difference. It's still not as good as Sig SRT but definitely worth it.
@@georgemhaylov7252 yeah, I'm a vp9 guy, so it's not even close to the out of the box reset of the striker. But I would probably have to shoot a p30 with a trigger job to notice the difference
