This game has the potential to be really addictive. After patches that assure stable performance and adding new weapons, clothing and taking numerous tasks…… oh boy……
I've only put about 10 hours in and I'm really enjoying it, yes it has its performance issues and still has a lot of content to be added but its a solid start so far. In those 10 hours I've still not even ventured out from the first town by my spawn!
Exactly, the enemies can be genuinely deadly and its really fun to clear outposts and big complexes / multi story buildings with friends. Especially when the pvp is toxic
@@illuminated_g1466 I believe they're referring to people on your own faction killing you in the field for funsies and easy gear farming. That's kind of a problem and no amount of 'git gud' grand-standing can fix it.
I hope to see them make squad leaders and the square leaders can talk to other squad leaders around the map. Help warn them if a LZ is hot. And the squad leader can pass it down to their team. Maybe even number each squad to know which is who or color code them.
@@myles5388it’s similar but pretty different to DayZ. DayZ has been my main game for a long time. But this one has my attention atm. The lotting is very different to DayZ. If you played Arma 2 DayZ. It’ll remind you of overpoch a little bit. As a DayZ player you know guns are dangerous and kill fast. So you can lose your stuff easily. You know that repositioning is the most importantly part of a firefight. If you like DayZ, you’ll like this as long as you can run it
I really like the AIs in this game. Not only it will discourage people from run and gun play styles, but there's also a decent amount of realism there. Ideally you need to see them before they see you or your chances of surviving is less than 50%. If you are slow or clumsy you die for sure.
@@KxngKoy nah, they are not ignoring silencers (more accurately suppressors) It simply is that the game like they always say isgoing for more realistic approaches. suppressors aren't that silent. they are obvioulsy more quiet than without one, but enemies will still hear you.
@@DatAsianGuy Other realistic games have AI know your general location but not instant head tap you after a silenced shot, especially when you're in a bush or some type of cover. It makes sense for the AI to know somewhat where you at, not insta head shot you the instant you shoot. Being out in the open is a different story of course.
I think making attachments availability at traders more random and having limited stock especially on the higher stat items would make building a loadout a bit more satisfying and make losing your gear more of a risk if it isn't as easy to just buy everything again if you die. Also adding a trading menu between players will also help. Live events to encourage PvP and to secure rare loot will also ensure the player count will stay high. Armbands and other IFF equipment is also something I'd like to see. Last thing I'd like to see besides a day night cycle and nvgs which is already planned for implementation is to have more variety of lootable items and a crafting system. Ground vehicles would also be cool.
Would you (or anyone in the comments) recommend this game for someone that only likes PvE? Either solo or with friends/randoms? I'm not really into PvP games in general. Good video!
Absolutely worth it. Kitting up and sneaking out to the wilderness. Solo is a blast in PVe and PVP. Just play very tactical in the PVP and you can avoid fights or completely catch people off guard.
Keep in mind that iron sights at 100m in real life is actually quite easy so an AI hitting you from that far is not surprising. Also, in a real life fight, a suppressed rifle would be heard from well over 500m away, so alerting AI from the next zone is not out of the question.
My first time trying pvp I spawned in and was immediately killed, and had my kit stolen. It was either a hacker or team killer neither of which I'm willing to deal with lol Have 70hrs now on pve
it's extremely CPU heavy. I'm rocking a 3080 and an i5, and I can't even get 30 fps. CPU gets thermal throttled. Shame bc I really do like the game, but can't play it until they optimize.
My biggest gripe with this game is that some of tasks need to be balanced better because they can be really grindy. I’m talking specifically about tasks where you need to kill a commander or get a key to a door. Drop rates on the keys feel like 0% and killing the commanders is real tough because of the spawn rate of AI and the chance they don’t spawn at all
@@MankySwift yeah 100% it’s a gripe for me but definitely not a major one haha. I’m still enjoying the game. I think they have changed drop rates though because I did a task earlier and got 4 keys in the space of 2 minutes instead of the 2 keys in the space of 4 days haha
For early access this game is very impressive, I’m really enjoying it. The survival aspect of it is great. Graphics are great on my 4070. A few tweaks will make this game huge I think. LZs need work.
Agreed. As players, we’ve gotten used to the fact that, if at a certain distance, we ‘shouldn’t’ be hittable. But how realistic is peaking a corner of 5+ enemies for 30 seconds firing away without expecting to get tapped?
Loving this game so much, its crazy! This was a game made just for me it feels like. They did a great job, and once they fix some of the issues, this might be a mainstay for me
Adding a mini gun to the helicopter and popping smokes would make it actually challenging and rewarding to raiding helicopters. Instead of just instantly dieing on drop off.
They have already had a chunk load of content put in like and a playable game more than the other early access titles in their first few days compared to the early months of tarkov, star citizen.
Honestly my main complaint right now is that I can mag-dump my pistol in to a guy with no vest and he'll just wiggle a bit. Dunno if it's desync, hit reg issues or the damage models not working but it's super lame.
Tbh I don’t think we’ve been observing the damage system all the way through. I mean there has been cases of ppl taking a bunch of rounds and still surviving.. I believe it’s more about hitting vital points… I’ve dump a few bullets in the right direction. The 9mm ain’t do much but the AI still needed up dying because of the wound and where the damage actually affected has more to it. Just imo don’t kill me
@@illuminated_g14665 headshots or shots to the torso with hollow points and unarmed point blank….no human will be surviving that it’s completely broken
I hope the devs remake the weapons sounds because the gunshots sound so powerless and weak like GTA or Fortnite. Kinda feels underwhelming in such a pretty realistic and beautiful environment.
IDGAF about reviews. I have so much money. I bought it. I played it. I enjoyed the bugs. I upgraded to the supporter edition. I enjoyed more bugs. I went back into the game next day. I enjoyed "NEGATIVE ALL BIRDS ARE CURRENTLY DISPATCHED". I went in next day, I enjoyed more "REQUEST DENIED ALL AVAILABLE BIRDS ARE IN FLIGHT". The game is highly recommended. 👍👍
I found that FSS is too much of a hit to graphics to justify. Dlss of 30 series cards is the better route. FSS works by lowering the resolution of the game. However GZW has a lot of mid to long range engagements and having low resolution can hurt your ability to see your enemies at a distance. It is safer to take the FPS hit and go for quality. This is from someone on a 3060 with a 5800x.
Man, I have a 6 year old system (except for GPU). Z390 Mb, 9700k, 4070TI and absolutely NO issues. Not a single system crash, no stuttering other than server stutters and rubberbanding, solid 144 fps on medium settings @1440p, Of course the game crashes, (network error etc.) but even a 6 year old system can run this smoothly.
BEST ADVICE FOR SOLO!!! Go slower and EVERYTIME you kill an AI enless you have the advantage by holding a peak or a hallway you need to reposition after every kill, they will look where you were so break line of sight and move to another spot and remember slow is smooth, smooth is fast. Any milsim like this is going to be difficult on solo players but with patience and well placed shots you can make it look easy. also remember if they have armor on HP or SP likely wont go through it so start using AP as soon as you can.
Im a solo player to. In the beginning i thought the same. But when you learn from your deaths it gets eaysier. I wanted to refund but im glad i didnt, now i am adicted!
I would like to see TrackIR support, a watch on your wrist with a compass built into the watch instead of the compass overhead tape, handheld radios to create comm channels instead of proxy chat for team cohesion, and the ability to switch shoulders when firing froa m weak side. I would like to see enemy ATV patrols in the world, Blackhawks replace little birds when two squads link up to insert together, animals for food sources in the field, and a ping (not mark) system for squads to correlate targets. I hope we will see LMGs, Rain storms with lighting, caves that lead to underground tunnels and bolt cutters/shape charges to create dynamic entries/escapes.
I enjoy the game but I will say the one thing that kinda sucked was when the game would crash and i lose all my gear ( I bought the support edition) so most of the good guys I had are gone because of it otherwise a fun game
One thing Call of Duty got right was the use of parachutes. It lets you control exactly where you want to land, but slows you down in the air and makes you an obvious target. It's flying, but based in reality. This game should use parachutes.
Its mostly the same thing. Fetch this. Find that. As you level up the quests take you to harder areas. But the fps drop are so bad there its difficult to play.
Oh fuck no i hope the devs don't make the same mistake loot only items should at best be unique gear like headgear, glasses maybe painted guns not major game play effecting things like scopes or high value useless items. If you want that go play EFT and leave GZW to be a good game.
@@ArekkzGaming Fam, one is a hero shooter. Like, technically any FPS can be a "tactical FPS." It was a really bad comparison. *Really* bad. Overall good video though.
Got excited for a minute until I realised it's another pos drop in style game. FFS while we have a draught on shooters there are people wasting talent like this. Just make a proper tactical game!
Asked for a refund. Its unplayable in squad with friends. Lots of bugs. Buggy tasks. Bullets are not registering hitting bots. Ping issues. Unoptimized game on 7800xt 1440p is playable only with frame generation which looks awful. Game has a potential. But i will not participate in this mess until its fixed
Which task was bugged? As someone who's played through probably a hell of a lot more than you, I think you're just blaming the system due to your lack of ability.
It’s crazy, it’s almost like the game is in early access and the point of playing early access is finding problems and the devs fix it. Go play COD and come back and complain when everyone is 100x better then you
It looks interesting. But man, the loot in the game is pretty damn boring. There is hardly any weapon or equipment variety, and it needs some balance. And I really hope they do something interesting with the story, maybe go a crysis route or add some level of non super military sim stuff. Be different an not ride a tarkov dick.
I spent hours trying to figure it out. cant get a refund. spent $100. first mission as soon as i landed i needed water, first encounter shot only 5 rounds and then no clip, or bullets. got killed lost my equipment. had to buy more. can't buy more clips. this game doesn't have any tutorial so your lost. and not worth the time wasted for days trying to figure it out. simply trash.
Don't get it for the coop at this point. The AI is too random and Aimbotty. Some will dump 60 rounds never hit you. but most will snap turn one shot dead, not coma, just dead. unplayable as it is.
@SNUSNU4U I get it. But I guess I'm turning more into a "dad" gamer. Not too keen on loss of inventory on death. Never been my jam. I like having a connection with my weapons and maintaining a sense of progression even after death.
What would be the point of a game where you just had a loadout and went to kill NPCs in a town every so often. At that point, it's just a less advanced version of The Division.
Got a good pc, but its unplayable for me as of now., forced to playing on low settings just to get good fps is not for me, Will wait for few updates of optimisation..just refunded.
@@Drixx550 some kiddos think its all the GPU, its not, its your SSD, your RAM, your board, hey even your network connection. But hey who am I to teach a 17 year old how computers work... right??
@NapFloridian this.... So many people don't understand that games like this really start getting throttled by your CPU. Same thing happened with dragons dogma 2, only fps issues came completely from it being cpu bound in certain areas
