Love Grayton beach, we have ben going there since the late 80's, I remember when the Red Bar opened in 1995. It's beautiful and hope it remains that way.

Walking history books. As a tourist, thank you for the community being so friendly and sharing the beautiful beach with us. I know more and more tourists keep coming but we definitely respect the history and the community that has been there since the beginning. I’m a proud Texan but Florida has become one of my favorite spots here in the states.🏝🏝🏝

It's calling to me, too...I feel so drawn to this place. The gentlemen who teared up talking about it made me misty, as well! This was a very sweet video. I love seeing people revere their hometown and its land, it nature, the beaches, ocean, and wildlife.

My son and I just had the chance to launch from Grayton with Captain Jody this past week for our first offshore fishing experience. It was so amazing! Didn’t realize it was the last place in the continental US you could do that! So special and so beautiful there!

What a great video... we have been coming to Grayton for years, but next week will be our first in our Airstream at GBSP. Ready to make new memories of our old favorite place on Earth!

Riches was Seagrove! We had the Rags to Riches Regatta and 4th of July parade alternating directions each year! Love it and miss it! ❤️😎

When Tyndall wouldn't let us swim to Shell Island in the mid 80's someone from Fort Walton mentioned Grayton Beach as a place you could drive on and have a good time without being hassled. So it became our weekend meeting place with our chopped up VW's having a cookout bonfire and floating in the pond going in circles on a float as the waves would push you in on the park side and the current would take you out on the Grayton side once we drifted up into the marsh and I thought a gator got me only to find a dead branch had poked me and half our float went flat. I would take everyone to red bar to eat when they first got there they would question could thi place possibly live up to what I promised....Not one person ever left not saying they wouldn't return and wondering how to put into words what they experienced from the excellent food and the list would continue back to PCB once a commercial for the last local beach bar came on on the way home and the couple driving the van full that loved the last local beach bar said they found a real locals hangout even if nobody was local. We would spend hours across the street looking at all the oddities especially the cards that were in my opinion off color but others would sit in the floor rummaging for the most outrageous card while people stepped over us then the owner brought more for us to rummage through....Good memories until the spring break madness sent me to the mountains out west then the California's moved to Colorado and I moved to the Appalachian mountains where home is quiet with a little stream in the back yard....I do miss the beach especially the sunset with the waves rolling in.....The end 🌊🏖

Grayton Beach does not even show up on the map in Google Maps.....

So many great memories of Grayton Beach. Visited it once in the late 50s with my mother's family and didn't see it again until the mid 70s when my new wife and I would be invited to stay a week or two each Summer or Fall at her aunt and uncle's place known as Holman's Hangout (est. 1947!). A few evenings playing pinball at Butler's Store and many evenings listening to the jazz band at the Red Bar. Very nice video portrait of Grayton Beach, then and now!
