I looooove the main medley of this cover, especially when it comes back for the reprise. It really feels like there's this epic battle between two forces on a freakin roof with the sun-set in the background. The saxophone really has a lot of strain to it and it gives this feeling of mortality? It's kinda hard to explain but this song is really intense in it's drive.
my interpretation of "mortality" is like wanting to finish off the fight before the sun goes down, like trying your best and putting as much effort as possible in order to finish it off. Completing what you needed to do.
@@fracturedemperor I'm late but I think "Animate" fits that better. Since sentience means they can think and feel for themselves. While the zombies in-game are mostly walking in a straight pattern, the only one that sorta fits that is the newspapers guy
@@fracturedemperor I doubt this'll prove anything but the wiki said in the bio for them that they are mindless with a hunger for human brains. Then again it was a fan wiki so yeah
I'm so glad Cuphead revitalized the love for Big Band. I grew up listening to Glen Miller and Benny Goodman and to see it making a resurgence is just so good.
@@VivaVenezuelaa hey thanks a lot!! The best thing you can do is practice your fundamentals (aka long tones, scales, ect) and you’ll be amazed at how fast you’ll progress! Also, sight reading frequently works wonders- playing many different genres really turns you into a strong player. I’m not too sure if this helps, but if you have any specific questions I can try my best to help!
@@madalynmusic9288 Thank you so much! this PvZ Collab series is my favorite of all time, and all of you do a great job on every video! I do have a bit of problems sight reading, it's just a little difficult but as a practice more it becomes easier. I'm trying to learn Orchestral Suite in B minor, Badinerie IIV and it's pretty fun! I've also been learning Concerto In G Major
@@VivaVenezuelaa those are great pieces, especially for someone who has only played for a year and a half! Sight reading has always been a challenge for me when I first started but just like anything, you’ll get better if you constantly find new music to play. Etudes are another great way to learn technique and improve your playing!
If the roof levels were anything like Cuphead's difficulty, the levels would probably just be 5 gargantuan's on screen at one time. And... like, 10 pogo zombies too. With a few basketball catapults in there. Annnnnnd, heck why not. 5 Rugby zombies.
I am absolutely in love with this cover - really disappointed to see this doesn't have more views. Good luck with your channel! Btw, is 2:52 a reference to Dolphin Shoals or is that just a coincidence?
Dr. Zomboss in " Brainiac Maniac " Airplane Fight. Progress Bar: _____|_______________|_________________________ 1st phase: The giant machine of Dr. Zomboss can summon various types of zombies in little spaceships which follow you. They can be normal, coneheads, bucketheads and brickheads. Plus it can summon giant balls of ice and fire which spread in a spiral form. Zomboss will do these two attacks VERY FASTLY. 2nd phase: The head of the Dr. Zomboss' machine is now a giant Peashooter. The attacks are the same as before but now he spawns peashooter zombies, wall nut zombies, tall nut zombies. He can also fire peashooter projectiles like the Dr. Kahl's final phase for a brief period of time. And he can shoot from his head a GIANT peashooter projectile which takes almost all the screen, so you have to place in the top left corner to avoid it. 3rd phase: The Dr. Zomboss machine is almost broken and is full of holes, but he uses a Pool Vacumm to absorb you in the depth of his machine. Here there is a conveyor belt on the bottom of the screen where zombies get carried, and you have to avoid Gargantuars throwing Imps at you, Catapult Zombies throwing basketballs, Zombies throwing cones and buckets, and a balloon zombie flying on the screen. To win you must shoot with bombs the conveyor belt.
no comments on how creative this is? this could be fun tbh and maybe have some bungee jumpers and zomboss throws 2 jumps above and below to mess the player up
Nice, my idea is for it to be a grounded fight, gargantuars on the first phase as the boss, then the G dies and then multiple portals appear to let the 4 spiderbots from pvz2 running around, and the third phase is the original zombot
Sounds great! Only thing I'll add in terms of it sounding like Cuphead is that when the brass didn't play a main line or didn't add to the melody, hed usually stricty have them play a rythmic pad (usually with harmon, plunger, or straight mutes) he also didn't include string players in the big band charts. Having studied his works, he has a very recognizable way of writing, so much so I couldn't actually write a template of what goes where and itd sound like most of his works (he did pretty much take whatever Ellington or Goodman were doing in the 30s and 40s)
This arrangement sounds fantastic!!!! Each instrument is flowing like steam out of a mug and hitting the mark like peas shot through the air PD, Missed opportunity to call it Graze the Cup xD
This honestly kind of works, I wish there were more remixes like this one floating around, I'm not aware about this song's original version, but this is an absolute BOP!
For God's sake, you guys are incredible, with your permission it would be an honor to use this theme in a fangame I'm working on, with your respective credits, of course.
The original is quite simple in comparision, but that's because it was created to be an instrumental of a videogame. I leave it here if you want to hear it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-u9xSFk1ZDgw.html
For once I'm glad for the click-bait title: otherwise this video would have gotten fewer views, and I might not only have missed it, but also the WHOLE ALBUM it's part of. I use this humble comment and subscription to signal engagement for the algorithm.
