Guys, Ashley is wonderful too. For your information, she played Sandy after Laura left. They are both AMAZING Sandy's. They just have different visions on how to sing her part.
This is an extremely difficult decision to make because both contestants are so equally matched. So it essentially comes down to which girl's personality fulfills the Sandy role better. For this reason and this particular part, I opt for the brunette girl. She seems to possess the more innocent, youthful vitality that this part truly calls for.
In the begining Laura and Ashley were the two I thought would go far and Laura was who I was hoping to win and this performance explains why, she is an excellent singer and gives me the chills when she gets those high notes. Congrats Laura.
I just saw laura on broadway in south pacific. I'm so glad she got a jump start on her broadway career and she was really good as nellie, definitely proved she belongs on broadway.
laura is a sweet heart! i met her at this beginnings workshop (( for acting )) where she went when she was younger and she taught one of my classes and she taught us all the choreography to We Go Together She is so fun, and she helped me shut the bathroom stall door cause she figured it out and i couldn't (( yes, i know, weird )) but laura and ashley are both absolutely incredable and either one could have won!!
Ashley is great in Priscialla! She signed my Hairspray playbill and we talked about how she worked with Lance Bass in Hairspray! Ashley is just so lucky! Love Ashley!!!
I saw Ashley as Eponine in my hometown's professional production of Les Miserables. She's my favorite Eponine (aside from Lea Salonga) -- she was incredible!
lizzy tucker I saw an interview once in which Jeremy talked about how he met Ashley; it was through a mutual friend on facebook. Laura and Jeremy have known each other for quite a long time now, they were working on Bonnie and Clyde for years before it went to Broadway. What if Laura was that mutual friend?
Unfortunately she wasn't! But I think it's great that they're all friends www.playbill.com/article/a-fine-showmance-laura-osnes-and-nathan-johnson-talk-about-the-on-stage-kiss-that-changed-everything-and-broadway-double-dates-com-337966
Austin was in 42nd Street... and I was like OMG THAT'S HIM! But I love both.... I loved Laura and still do... but Laura is just as good... I just don't like what they did to the musical afterwards it was bad...
