The MDA Labor Day Telethon was an enchanting yearly variety show that ran for half a century. Hosted for many years by Jerry Lewis, the telethon featured top stars from the world of music, comedy, and Broadway and was like no other show on earth.

Simulating the sex act at 1:25 was very risque for TV in 1975. I wonder whose heads rolled after this performance aired.

I found it tasteless myself, but it serves as an echo of the original show in Chicago, which reportedly was much raunchier.

I mean the 70’s was actually pretty edgy believe of not. I mean this was a time in our country when porn was “mainstream” and you could go to the movies to watch a porno. Maybe if it was the 50’s your statement would be more true.

@@TrevJ91 - Uh, I was there. I know exactly the extent of "edgy" you are referring to. Like having an openly gay character on a TV show. The mainstream adult magazines and adult films were restricted by age. In the 80s soft adult content was available by cable subscription only. Show me one example of something on TV that was as risqué as what we saw here. I'll wait....
