Looking great! Keep the videos coming. Assume Inst360 or similar camera was used. I have limited success with the spinnaker on my TI, keep having to reef the main to tack under the back stay....
Nice video. Question: how is the Tandem Island as a single person kayak? The AI isn't being produced anymore and I can get my hands on a second hand TI. Can't decide between the Revolution 13 and the TI and both is a bit much.
thank you‼️ interesting choice! Rev13 and TI are totally different. If you want to enjoy fishing, use Rev., sailing? use TI. please note that TI is much heavier than Rev..
I use the TI solo most of the time, it’s great…Though I’ve not been on an AI, but I have a friend with one. The TI solo use from the rear seat is much dryer in choppy waves. The sail area is larger and the boat is longer so it’s faster than the AI too. It is heavier but under sail that’s a plus…I imagine under mirage drive or paddle power it’s more work…Another advantage from the back seat is you can get a paddle in the water while the tramps are out. Disadvantage is you have to duck the mainsheet when tacking…but a simple PVC riser solves that problem. Either way, AI or TI, they are great little boats.
I use my TI as a camping vehicle. It is a beast for this. It takes a lot of gear below and above deck. When you get to your back country campsite, you are fresh as you sailed there instead of paddling. What v-one said is true; if fishing, Rev is better choice. If wanting to go explore, TI is amazing.
