A tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) can show you real time tire pressures when you are riding your car or motorcycle. While TPMS are becoming more common in cars, they are not seen too often in motorcycles unless you are buying more expensive models with high end electronic packages.
Having correct tire pressures is even more important in a motorcycle than in a car - we only have 2 tires to work with. In this video, I will install and review the Sykik Rider SRTP300 Wireless tire Pressure Monitoring System for Motorcycles.
If you want to try this wireless TPMS, it can be found here: shorturl.at/bkLRT
Installation was very easy and the unit gives accurate tire pressure and temperature readings. This is great if you live in an area with big temperature fluctuations. It is also great if you enjoy off road and ADV riding, where debris can puncture your tire. This system was surprisingly cheap at $54.99, but seems to provide good results.

@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles I went for a ride on my bike last October just to go out and take some photos of it to sell. I thought to myself, it's OK. The tyres look fine, and it is a chore anyway to get the footpump out. After all, I have slime in them anyway. I ended up in hospital that day with a dislocated shoulder. Ordered the TPMS now!

@@savinggracechurch4112 Oh wow, hope you're okay now! I actually made a whole video about tire gadgets: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EVlR03DtR7g.html The battery powered portable pump has been amazing and it fits under my seat so it's never a chore to get it out!

Great review. I had issues with a different motorcycle TPMS because it wouldn't let you set independent pressure alerts for both the front and the back tyre (cause they are set to different pressures re the manufacturer manual. Can you set a different pressure alert on your model for both front and rear tyres?

I will double check. I have actually switched systems since making this video. I am now using a phone app based system where you can set individual tire alerts depending on your personal preferences. It is much more customizable. Full video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sX3-rq-sHlQ.html

@@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles This is the phone app that's over 100 big ones, right. Do you think it's worth the outlay?

i bought the same exact one from Temu for about $15. Problem with these is that when you're screwing the sensor on the tire you lose a little air. It's basically a guessing game as to how much to put in to get just the right pressure, because you'd have to remove the sensor, add air, lose air when reinstalling the sensor. It's a pain.
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles Месяц назад
Are you losing a lot of air when you screw them in? It seems like a negligible amount, kind of like when you fill your tires with air and then unscrew the pump.

Do you need to remove the nut when you're pumping the tyres up?
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles

You may need to screw it further down depending on the length of the pump tip threading.

I have one, having some issues when i now charge it... I am trying different things. I also changed bike and lost the manual 😂 but on the other hand there are only two buttons how hard can it be.... The issue i have is that it is sending out the alert for low pressure since i took it indoors to charge....

I was lucky with mine and haven't run into any issues. Fortunately, these systems are not very expensive so they are easy to replace if they stop working.

Thanks for following up! No issues with the functionality of the system but I ended up removing it since my tire pressure was holding steady and I needed more mounting space on the handlebars.

Question, how do you install these without loosing air? For some reason, I loose air while screwing it on.
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles
@Dr.MichaelsMotorcycles Месяц назад
Make sure you are screwing them down far enough. When I was installing them, the air only hissed for a second until I had them screwed down tightly.

Why not add a little more air to tyre an allow for the lost air when screwing on sensor.
