Night diving at the Great Barrier Reef is an insane experience. Once you descend into the water at night you a whole new world, which differs dramatically from what you see during the day. A peaceful and calm reef transforms at night into a world of predation, where big carnivorous fish are the rulers. Night is the time when reef sharks, red bass and giant travally are out for a hunt. And unless they are extremely venomous like lion fish of puffer fish, all the colourful reef fish we see during the day are hiding. Even giant moray eels are vulnerable at night. This video is the las in the series of three highlighting my Great Barrier Reef experience with Mike Ball Dive expeditions and incudes a compilation of three night dives at the Ribbon Reef 10. I hope you will enjoy the virtual experience of the great barrier reef.
All footage is original, filmed with GoPro Hero 10 black and BigBlue VL18000P dive video lights.
