Another great lesson from my favorite you tube educator (and i follow more than a couple). You really should consider compiling your stuff in a method book. I believe your approach is super valuable and unique.

@@richbrownbass In the meantime I've started compiling my favorite lessons into a doc with links to the vids. I love the triads, sequences, arpeggio and pentatonic stuff so much that I want to make different bits part of my warm-up/early practice routine before I start working on tunes, transcribing or reading. The rhythm stuff is special and gets it's own dedicated time.

I appreciate your teaching. You're one of the most complex and great sounding bassists, yet you teach such amazing "simple" things that sound amazing. An interesting dichotomy. You are one of the best bassists in the USA yet you return to the basics and spread the love. Excellent. ❤️

Yet another great video. I would be curious to see lessons "specifically" for 5 string basses. I play your exercises by taking the D on my B string as the starting point (when it implies the G minor pentatonic scale), but I was wondering if you have any "specific" exercises. Thank you!

The shape of the major can pose some challenges for these exercises. But practice is all about familiarizing yourself with new ideas. You'll get this for sure.
