Before I watch the rest of your video: YOUR GLASSES ARE OUTRAGEOUSLY AWESOME! You wear them very well. Paired with that t-shirt, Gorgeous just gorgeous. 💛
I'm still working my way through Jade City, in the meantime, I read and highly recommend Fonda Lee's novella Untethered Sky. Best fantasy Ive read in a good while. Set in a fictional fantasy Persia with a strong female heroine that's not snarky or cliche.
I'm so glad you love Jade City! I still need to read it and hopefully get to it later this year... I've been saying this for at least two years though :')
Omg!!! Ziiiiiiiiish!!! Thank you so much for your lovely gift!!! I love LOVE it!!! Gah!!! I’m planning on reading a poem a day so it can really sink in and I can enjoy and process and ruminate on his words. It’s such a stunning collection, it deserves to be savored 🥹🥹
@thelibrarianofalexandria6200 ooooh. I’m definitely going to looking for more of them then. I know her for her books on writing which I have. I had no idea that she wrote romance novels until Role Playing popped up on my radar. Definitely reading more from her!!!
You *need* to read jade war. Multiple parts fucked me up! My request for jade legacy already came in at the library but waiting till I'm not sick to pick it up
As someone who is just recovering from a reading slump, I totally feel you on this. Just do what I did. Note them down in a list and put them away. Whenever you feel that interest to read again, look at the list. Pick one. Just one. And read. Taking it slow, and one page at a time
ooohh i desperately needed this! i’m in a reading slump and realizing i very much need romance in my fiction reads and i couldn’t get into any new books since mdzs and tgcf 🥲 i’ll eventually look into your other book videos but in the meantime if anyone has recommendations for similar works (not necessarily bl, not necessarily chinese drama) i’ll gladly take them! 🙏🫶
Happy to help!! And would love to hear your thoughts if you do get around to reading Camp. Since you love MXTX, have you tried reading Priest’s works yet? Guardian is really really good! 😊
@@ChroniclesofNoria Tysm! currently trying to find a way to download Camp, if i can't download it I think I found a good translation online:) I heard so many good things about Priest but I read the first chapters of Sha Po Lang and the adopted father/mentor-adopted son relationship was really a turn off for me so I abandonned it 😩 I did watch Word of Honor and loved it though!! so if you recommend Guardian then I'll definitely have a look at it! 👀😊
@bbytyat oh definitely check out Guardian. It has the pining waiting partner of almost a millennium like TGCF and supernatural mystery to be solved like MDZS
