Have you ever smelled a "russian leather" fragrence before? I love russian leathers because there is usually a lot of birch tar. I scored a vintage del oro russian leather II for literally dollars from the 70s and 80s and great brittian and cuir de russie by chanel are on my to buy list but they are so expensive. Gotta wait for my bonus to go drop 1800 bucks on a fragrence. I would probaby go for the 7.5 ml travel atomizer if i could. -Ramsey

Amazing review. Buying clone to test. You should think about reviewing Cobra and the Canary by Imaginary Authors. Heavy leather with muted citrus/ orris/ hay.

I see the resemblance to Cuir de Russie, yet the open for me is quite different. More powdery. And the violet comes through for distinction. Later in the dry down is when I get the wonderful reminiscence of Chanel’s Russie.

I’m not sure if I feel it’s worth the price tag but I will say it’s a beautiful fragrance. It’s a more luxurious version of Chanel’s Cuir de Russie in my humble opinion. I have never received a compliment on it but then again I don’t wear fragrances for compliments. I only wear for my self enjoyment and this one I enjoy immensely

I think it’s interesting you don’t find this fragrance very versatile, I find it very wearable in most situations. Business casual with a nice button up or polo and you can pull this off
