In Rome back in November, “happened” to walk by a fragrance shop. Bought a fragrance and the owner gave me a generous amount of samples, and one was ADP Colonia Pura. Loved it immediately. Been on my future purchase list ever since.

Nice haul !! I did a TJ Maxx cheapie haul.....today ! Thought of you when I was there...LOL. I was able to get English Laundry Tahitian Waters, Versace Blue Jeans and Nautica Voyage. Of course, I owned and finished a Nautica Voyage way back when...but I missed having it. A classic. I am really impressed with the EL Tahitian Waters....!!!...hidden gem...and I am getting decent performance so far. Versace Blue Jeans, I may have smelled years ago, but never bought it. It is actually VERY good, IMHO....easy reach scent. I also (thought) I picked up Alfred Sung Homme...however...when I got home...I found I actually bought the women's version...lol.....no matter...I wear many women's scents...and at first spritz...the Sung is real feminine.....however....thru the mid to drydown..I ended up liking it. Go figure. Heads up....check out Fragrance World Star Men Nebula....!!!.....an awesome Mugler Pure Malt clone !!! LOVE it. Find it at TripleTraders website...like $28 bucks. I did a side-by-side....og vs clone...and it is damn close...IMO.

Good video, Ross. I highly recommend you try Colonia Intensa from Acqua Di Parma. It’s reminiscent to Terre D’Hermes or Dunhill Icon, with a bit of some Prada Infusion D’Iris Cedre the resins, woods and leather in the base. Super awesome sophisticated summer woody floral musk scent.

I've been rocking Colonia Pura a lot lately (had the bottle since 2018). It's a beautiful scent on my skin in the Texas heat and did illicit an unsolicited compliment. Works very well skin chemistry-wise.

Hey my friend! So I had CDNI Sillage and I had to sell that one. Even though it smells really good, it's just too sharp for my nose. Maybe I'll get it again in the future, I dunno. Btw, I finally pulled the trigger on Versace Oud Noir and I am VERY happy I did! It's still traveling along in the mail as we speak, but the decant I had was love at first sniff so I'M STOKED! SOTD today is a reach back for me, and since I'm indoors in the A/C, I went with Dolce And Gabbana The One EDP.

I agree that Afnan is even better than Armaf. Supremacy not only intense, in oud and incense all blew me away. I also have 8 fragrances from Armaf and I really like each one of them, but Afnan is really impressive

I just scored the score of all scores. I just got a 100ML bottle of Aqua Di Parma Colonia from TJ Maxx for 15$! Of your haul, I do have Supremacy in Oud, and Sillage. In fact Sillage is my SOTD today. This is only my 3rd or 4th time wearing Sillage as it has grown on me. I have a decant of Silver Mountain Water and Sillage is a dead ringer for it. I’ve never smelled Oud For Greatness, but I love Supremacy, it’s a quality pickup.

Hi Carlos, I am glad you got put your nose to Afnan Supremacy in Oud and Noir! I had both since last year and loved them...I ended up getting back up bottles of both. I prefer the Supremacy in Oud to Lattafa Oud for Glory that I ended gifting that bottle away. I know you also love Al haramain Amber Oud line... try and get your hands on their Amber Oud Exclusif lines namely Sport, Emerald, Classic and Bleu( Not the regular bleu edition you reviewed a few months back. The sport is a clone of PDM Kalan, Emerald is supposedly a clone of PDM Greenley, Bleu is a clone of PDM Layton( a higher quality than detour noir i guess) but I don't know what classic clones. I was super happy to see you had done a review of Supremacy Noir. I've got a sample haul waiting that has it and the original Botega Venetta to compare to. But it sounds like I will enjoy it regardless. This is the old school cowboy-esque scent profile that got lost in the massive freshie push of the 90s. I'm hyped, even if its a party of one 😅

Circling back to this comment (on another account). I ended up not ordering a sample of the Botega Venetta, but from what I've heard of it Supremacy Noir is nowhere close. The Fragrantica notes are more correct than Parfumo (even though they're what Afnan provides). It's like you took a 70s fougere and covered it with white bar soap, musk, and some violet. It is fast becoming a favorite as I've worn it 4 times in a week. I just ordered a bottle to keep at work for reapplication, especially since there are days I have to work in the heat and it burns off. I know you talk about it being a cold weather frag, but it's all about perspective. It's far lighter in composition (to my nose) than Paco Rabanne Pour Homme, Bogart Signature, Drakkar Noir, etc. And perhaps I'm interpreting the leather note oddly, because I don't really smell much that screams leather. A super creamy white, soft suede at most. I guess it's possible that I'm simply anosmic to parts of the scent profile, but I think my skin might just really amplify the violet? Anyway, you were spot on about this fragrance being for a niche within a niche. Hi, I'm that niche lol.

Hard to believe you never had Sillage until now. I got it at the same time as CDNIM a while back cuz I like cheapies n thought it would be a nice edition to the collection. Wore Sillage a few times. It smelled like lemonade on me. Couldnt really pick up the other notes at all. Ended up giving it to my friend/coworker who really liked the scent.

Afnan Oud is insane for the price. If you like Oud, even a little, get this. It's truly a $300.00 fragrance for $35.00. ADP: Futura and Intenza are my favorites, Futura has been my go to office reach this summer. Highly underrated.

Man, you're getting fragrances like damn jelly beans, hahahaha. It's like a haul video a week almost! I knew you'd like that Sillage! See, we've been hitting it out of the park for you recently, giving you suggestions. And those Supremacy fragrances look interesting. I wasn't all that crazy about the Aventus ones, but these look cool. I'm thinking of getting samples of these when I can (since I already have 1,000 other scents in my backlog for samples). Keep in mind, though, that Oud for Greatness -- essentially -- is more of a saffron fragrance than oud, hence its easy appeal. I'd attribute Banana Republic's Oud Mosaic as something more "note accurate." Still though, OFG is a solid scent regardless of how much oud is in it. Another awesome video, man! Good suggestions and looking forward to more of your insights on these in your weekly rotations.

I loooove Supremacy In Oud by Afnan. It smells beautiful, performance is great, it just checks all the boxes...and.....as blasphemous as this sounds, I actually prefer this to the original. The subtle differences in Afnan's version are just more to my taste. I'm definitely interested in Sillage by Armaf. I love SMW and my sample will eventually run out but I need this scent in my collection. I just can't bring myself to buy a current formulation from Creed or justify the big price-tag of a vintage bottle. So, hope I love Sillage (I'm sure I will) so I can save more money!

I trully love Supremacy in oud. Before that I bought Lattafa Oud for Glory, but that one was too weak to be honest and pretty much lacking the lavender. I liked the airiness of it, but that's it. Too weak. So I gave a chance to Supremacy in Oud and was blown away immediately - it had everything I was missing in Lattafa ... very prominent lavender and overall very strong performance ... the only missing thing is the airy feel, but I'm totally OK with that. The smell is awesome and it performs. On clothes it stays for days with a clean feeling, not dirty like some other heavy fragrances. Awesome buy. Another fantastic clone by Afnan is Supremacy Incense - incredible clone of Interlude Man. The best, most accurate clone I've ever smelled. It's pratically identical to Interlude, just a little toned down but very accurate even in its development - in every stage smells identical to Interlude. The only difference is that the whole development happens slightly quicker which might be even advantage for guys who find the opening of Interlude challenging (I don't ...it's awesome). So in short Supremacy Incense smells exactly the same as Interlude, just slightly milder and with a little quicker development ... on scale, if Interlude is 11 (nuclear) Supremacy Incense is 8 (still a massive performer).

I've never smelled Noir, but I do own Bottega Veneta Pour Homme EDT and Parfum. Both are incredible fragrances. I never cared for the Extreme EDP much. The EDT gives me a forest vibe but smelling so modern. I bought a bottle upon first sniff. Then the Parfum, it's got some Tonka & Cardamom in there I believe. It's a magnificent fragrance.

From Afnan you also need to look on Turathi blue and brown, Rare Carbon, Mirsaal Of Trust, Modest Pour Homme Une and Tribute Blue (they're fckn great)

I wonder how much different Colonia Pura is from Colonia Intensa. Intensa is my 1st attempt at Acqua di Parma. Its aight. Nothing to go gaga for. I want to try the Sillage eventually, as I am a bit apprehensive to get Silver Mountain Water (not really a galbanum fan outside of Aspen). The Supremacy Oud sounds interesting. Maybe year end or next year I can try that. Long list and I haven't even touched a portion (If Im going to). Ross, what's your take on Acqua di Parma overall,? I want to try more samples over time, esp from their Blu line.

I grabbed Colonia Pura last week At first I didn't like it .. i wanted citrus and i smelled licorice. And tbh .. i STILL don't know WHY I am getting compliments on this fragrance but, the head turns and the compliments don't lie. Everyone else seems to like it more than me. It DOES smell like Money.

What a timing, Ross. I am literally on the fence whether to pull the trigger on the Armaf Sillage. I've heard rave reviews about it but I told myself to never purchase a clone anymore due to plenty of mistakes/disappointments. I do like to the Creed SMW scent but that too has very mixed feelings/reviews and I'm not about to spend $300+ on it with such mixed reviews. I heard that Sillage was like the old formulation of SMW and it was great and to purchase this rather than SMW. Hmmm....your review may have just nudged me over the purchase side of the fence.

I bought Afnan Supremacy in Oud . It smells good, everythimg is good except I don't experience that roomfilling effect. It is close to the skin after couple of hours ... maybe ms nose got blind or its reformulated ? Production date is 2022
