Mike isn’t the Nintendo expert he claims to be. Kirby is, without a doubt, the single most powerful character in the Nintendo multiverse without absorbing powers. Hate to quote them, but Death Battle is correct in the feats he’s accomplished.

My top four for this draft would be: Samus, Ganon, Mario, and Byleth. Good mix of name recognition and deep cuts.

Ok, Jason was *not* wrong about the slashes, let me tell you why... When he incorrectly entered the backslashes instead of forward slashes, the browser assumed he was dumb and fixed it for him. Browsers do this for us all the time (for example adding the www even though we leave it off). The fact that the browser knew what Jason was trying to do doesn't change the fact that his input was wrong. These are two separate characters and I will die on that hill.

Saying Nintendo owns Pokémon isn’t fully correct. It’s owned by a complicated three way joint ownership called the pokemon company that includes companies called Creatures and Gamefreak that do a lot of development in the games and merchandise. Nintendo is the main publisher and they have a 32% stake in the Pokémon company, but they do not have full ownership. It’s a common misconception that Nintendo fully owns it to the point where that it caused some stock problems during the Pokemon Go days because people weren’t aware of this joint ownership company. It’s part of the reason why when Pokémon announcement for upcoming titles happen they are in separate Pokémon directs rather than a part of Nintendo’s official direct where upcoming Nintendo titles are announced.
