This is a worthy project for any to-do list, on the flipside, have you seen some of the curious projects in Woody Hyezmar’s Woodworking Bible? Try go’gling his latest stuff before he publishes it.
Very Impressive woodworking here. It's obvious that this builder works in a Woodworking shop; and is not a home hobbyist!! However, regarding those interesting 'legs': One dowel & Glue to join? I would have placed multiple dowels there; and then added bowtie-joints to the outer surfaces. It's not really a failing, but I would have liked the table to be foldable as well -- this depends on what your Client wants.
Never fails that someone always feels the need to respond with something along these lines...properly tuned I am certain this craftsman could do it with ANY bandsaw!
@@mb_a5383 I can't speak for the craftsman but can only say that he put online what he wanted to...nothing more, nothing less. I watch RU-vid videos for all kinds of reasons...ideas, methods, tools, instructional, mindless entertainment when I'm not looking to really use my brain, etc. I don't see this video as being instructional nor does the title suggest that (it only suggests an "idea") but I enjoyed watching it.
Just as with most any craft, the word beginner can mean someone who is picking up a tool for the first time up to someone who has been working with tools and wood for a while but would not consider themselves at the intermediate (journeyman) level yet. I feel pretty confident that a "beginner" with basic tools and tool knowledge (this guy obviously works in a shop) could do this if they had the templates, measurements, layout lines, etc. It is a cool looking table but, let's be real, all the steps are pretty basic. What is great about woodworking is simple, basic steps one after the other can end up with something that a novice (zero woodworking experience) would think is way beyond their capabilities. Where this guy deserves the biggest credit is if this was his design...designing something often is much harder than building.
