I always love the old radio shows They make the listeners make it the way you can make it the way your own mind understand it. That's why it called the radio of the mind Thanks
Could be even better if you can modify an old console radio to play these shows through it! Thanks I look forward to all the comments I receive each day! It shows people are actually listening!
OTR HALLOWEENHOLIDAZE I think there are companies that build older looking radios but are completely modern. It would be spectacular to have polished cherry wood radio the size of a tv.
These are well worth listening to year round. Mom and dad cracked up, when I imitated Gildersleeve's laugh. Thank you very much, for these fond trips down memory lane, and sharing them with us all. 👍🏼👏🏼🙏🏼
Thank you for sharing these. Just found them and hope you are still sharing these wonderful past memories with a generation that didn't get to experience this.
Wishing you a lovely Christmas season! Thanks for the upload. I am registered blind/severely sight impaired and sometimes its just nice to restyour eyes and listen to something like this. Its so funny too. From 🇬🇧
Who else remembers sitting around in the warm glow of the old radios, and listening to this and other radio shows with the family? Heck, for that matter, do families even get together regularly to watch entertainment these days?
@@OTRHALLOWEENHOLIDAZE Wasn't all that long ago, we had annual family cookouts for family and friends in parks. Dinner saw everyone at the table. The kitchen was where we discussed our days events, and plans for tomorrow. Now it's tweets, instagrams, and other _non-normal_ communications
I Remember listening to the radio as a kid we had no tv the radio was the entertainment around our house mostly it was at night after dark in the winter time very seldom listen to it in the summer cuz we stayed very busy stayed outside until dark or after but we listen to The Lone Ranger Roy Rogers some other westerns Superman Batman Robin and basketball listen to the UK Wildcats in the Kentucky colonels good old days
Christmas Eve 1944? I wonder how many people were listening. My mother always said that was the worst Christmas of her life! Don't any of the people leaving comments know what was happening then?
