Taking you on a journey through all the emotions from reflective thanks to thunderous praise, ‘Great I Am’ was birthed out of a church worship rehearsal where the writers started marveling at the revelation that God created all these massive things; the sun, the earth, the sky, but at the same time He still took the intimate time to create and breathe into us. In the moments when everything is moving but our lives are upside down, the moments when we disappoint, God is keeping us “over and over”, just like He keeps the earth in rotation or the sun in the sky every day. That's why the ending feels so powerful in this song, that revelation of how Great He is, both in might but also to us individually.
