The Perch is underway for the 36th leg of our Great Loop. Today we only have five locks to go through, with the first three continuing to lift us up and the last two taking us back down as we head for Sylvan Beach on the east shore of Oneida Lake. Most Loopers utilize the free wall in Sylvan Beach for an economical stop with easy access to the town. The Perch chose a small marina so we could have power, as Margo-the-cockatoo aboard requires climate control on colder evening like the one we spent in Sylvan Beach. Kim also shows a bit about how she handles the bow in a lock. Although not shown in this video, Michael is usually at the stern or midships when we lock through.
