We pick up The Perch's Great Loop journey at the Angelo Towhead anchorage near the convergence of the Mississippi River and the Ohio River. Most Loopers turn onto the Ohio River and head for the Tenn-Tom route to avoid the Lower Mississippi where there are fewer resources for pleasure craft. We head up the Ohio, through the Olmsted Lock, and end the day at the Paducah Transient Dock.
