For sure. That seemed to just kind of take some of the wind of our sails. I don't think we played really badly or anything but the Caps just had more experience as a team to be able to use that moment and take the series. Still a tough memory but I'm glad it went to a deserving team.
Growing up, it was every kids dream to score. As a goalie, my dream was to stop their dreams. This video hits that on the highest level. I love it. The Brodeur scorpion kick save may not be the best but it sure is my favorite.
Ovechkin is such a class act, clapping for the opposing team’s goaltender. Also, one year in World Championship, there were only 2-3 Russians after a loss to Canada who stayed on ice to listen to Canada’s national anthem. Ovechkin was one of them. One of the all time’s greatest players, absolutely.
Price falls into the same category as Crosby/Ovi/McDavid on the goal scoring video. You could make an entire video on one person because they’re so good, but because of that they only get 1 mention so it’s not biased. They’re too good.
@@matthewg9467 Lundqvist is a great goalie as well, but he got three mentions in this video. The same can be said for Fleury and Brodeur. Your reasoning doesn't stand.
As a Flyers fan, Lundqvist not having a cup is both a tragedy (because holy cow does he deserve one) and a blessing (because I want nothing good for New York).
How could you not add Fleury’s amazing “Pancake” save when he was with the Penguins!? That could rival his diving glove save from November with the Knights.
@@michaeloconnor5904 The Fleury save against the Leafs earlier in the season opened up a can of worms that went far beyond just firing Babcock. I never would've guessed that it would lead to everything that came out in the 2 weeks following that game.
Price got robbed: -Diving glove save vs the hurricanes in 2010 -Diving save in OT vs the rangers -Series of saves vs Tampa in OT -Save on ristolainen during the dying seconds of the 3rd -Stick Save vs the Blackhawks in 2014 These are just the ones on the top of my head. I’m sure I can find some if I do some research. I’m sure other goalies got robbed as well since NHL is so lazy.
Nice to finally see several Hurricanes clips in an NHL video! On a side note, surprised there weren't any of Rinne's and/or Luongo's saves included in this. And only one with Price in it.
It says everything you need to know that so many goalies didn't make this list, yet they made incredible stops too. Anyone who straps on those pads and skates between the pipes deserves the utmost respect! They do the seemingly impossible on a regular basis.
Its not exactly a good thing if you have to make many desperation saves, thats why you dont see many saves from Carey Price because he is rarely out of position like Lundqvist and Fleury.
amazing to see results. goalies have trained their whole life only goaltending and now they are in NHL doing crazy saves. satisfying to see those results of million hours of training
are we just going to pretend like Crawford never made a single save worthy of the montage? a mans who won 2 Stanley Cups and he can’t even get an honorable mention???
It has nothing to do with the goalie? It's just the save and maybe these ones stood out to them more than his. We have goalies like Peter's and Hutton in here and they haven't won a cup I remember correctly.
None of dubnyks are in here like WHAT. The big one that comes to mind is his diving save on a Nyquist breakaway a couple years ago on opening day. An unreal save somehow left off this list.
Wish this video had some Dominik Hasek clips in it. Sure he didn't play this decade, but his saves were so phenomenal they should be in every 'best saves videos' for perpetuity. He was just that good haha :P
Too many beautiful save Carey price to put in a video so you put one save? Theirs was the flying save vs Ny in OT 360° VS Tampa Bay in OT So many stick save And so many "Spider save" (when his arms and legs stretch to save the puck to the other side of the goal) Or the save by Keith Kinkaid vs Minnesota and new Jersey
