that’s simply not true… this bands greatest infamy comes from the fire they went through. the dude could sing, they had several good hits, then they faded away… legends don’t fade…
@@gsmscooter22 I’m a multi-instrumentalist and a realist… i wasn’t putting the guy down, I simply stated he wont be remembered as a legend, and to think he would be is ridiculous and unrealistic… besides the fact that i give a rats @ss about your opinion…
@@johndanielsforJesusage is an attitude and when you're into Rock & Roll & Blues from it's very beginning it doesn't die when it's in every fiber of your being. Baby Boomers STILL rock on......
I think he was highly revered.I'm actually surprised that I not heard more or seen more people talking about his departure celebrating his music. It's weird.I thought he was well loved and appreciated
@@thebsmithimages6544 I agree, in a sea of bands that looked like chicks Great white stood their ground as a solid hard rock band. Sad they're probably most known for "Once bitten twice shy"
He really was. His stepson is my homie and I practically lived at their place last year n everyday he would just prove how kind and talented he was. N mannn did he love to sing😂. His mom would have to tell him to quiet down bc he would just randomly bust out wit a led zeppelin song. Hes definitely missed and im glad to see people showin all the support in these comments bc ik that if I showed mitch he would feel a lot better knowing how many people loved his stepdad.
His stepson is my homie mitch and jack used to sing so much that his mom would try and get him to quiet down and hed jus sing louder😂. The stories that mf had were amazing and he was such a great guy.
The best rock blues singer of all time. I remember talking to him backstage here at a show in Waco, TX some years ago. He told me to sit next to him and showed me videos/pictures of his boat he was so proud of. Awesome dude. There will never be another Jack Russell.
Bad news travelled fast once again today. RIP Jack, you were an original in every way. Your music will live on and on and on. God speed legend.🤘🏻🍺🏴☠️ I know you were greeted by the 100 angelic fans you’ve prayed you see again one day. You’ve carried their memory for a long time now. Today they welcomed you home.
A sexy gem of a song, even in the hard rock genre. The singer's voice is also sensual, and I was shocked when I first heard this song. A masterpiece that never fades with time. I was sad when I heard the news of this wonderful singer's passing. Rest in peace, Jack.
@@donnvall9256 Culpability is a matter for the attorneys. However, I would suggest that you do a bit of research. Yes, ignorance is not a valid excuse in their part.
@@davidgarris2513: It's similar to the Alec Baldwin, Rust film shooing case. Was Alec, the talent and producer at fault? I wouldn't think so. But I would have to know the protocol for gun safety regulations on movie sets, same as concerts.
Is there much rock music that the woodstock generation likes post-woodstock?Music style+production changed drastically in the 70s.Going from jefferson airplane to dark side of the moon, alice cooper, queen, aerosmith, van halen must be quite jarring.
REST IN PEACE 😭😭 im 23 years old and i was raised on rock and roll. Jack Russel is one of the greats. You will be missed dearly. Your music will never die !
I'm 74 and people ask me you listen to this stuff ? .. I tell then every damn chance I can ... 70' and 80's all the way ... you should see the look on there face's ... I can't drive my car with out my rock ...
I was 19 when this song came out. We loved going to concerts to see hair bands play with our big hair and crazy outfits. I feel so lucky to have experienced the 80’s as a teen.
Take this for a current 19 year old. You are incredibly lucky. Every artist I've ever witnessed perform has been through a screen of some sort. Everything is debilitating-ly expensive as it is, a concert ticket is simply too expensive for me rn. I will only ever hear the stories of $15 concert tickets 😂.
"Rock Me" is such a great, classic rock song---full of emotion, power, energy, mood, great singing and great guitar work. Just a great, powerful, classic rock song. Thanks, Jack, for all of the great memories. We'll miss you. Rock on.
R.I.P Jack Russell. Thank you so much for your music and for being such a huge part of my adolescence. I proudly wore out many of your cassettes in the ol' tape deck. Rock on, my man. You've earned it.
Man.... I was a roadie for you guys before you had put out a album... Bret Blandeno hooked me up with that gig.R.I.p. Bret.. miss you bro. went to Hollywood many times with you guys .played at the whisky a go go.. Oh what great memories. I went on to roadie and drum tech for Problem Child a few years later. Then moved away to Tennessee... hope you guys are doing well..
Oh hell yes! I'm 62 and it still sounds good. People gawk when they see a gray haired lady in her car with the volume CRANKED UP. What a hoot! Late 60's, 70"s, and 80"s rock, soul, and funk music now and forever ! ROCK ON!!🤘🔊🎶🤸♀️🤩👌!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had this song on a '45!! Much to my roommates' disappointment, I played it over and over and over. They were into pop and dance. I was into metal. I loved this song so much! RIP Jack Russell.😢
The build up in this song is absolutely insane and sexy! I always loved his vocals and this band! One of my favs to share with the neighbors! Crank it up! So sad to see another talent lost.. Thank you for the music and memories, Sir.. RIP
Gather round, young whippersnappers...and witness the absolute pinnacle of 1980s hard rock! Great White absolutely hung it all out there on every album, every song, every concert and every video to give all of us just an incredible buffet of mind-blasting music.
R.I.P Jack, thank you for getting me through my teenage years in the 80’s. I will always cherish your contribution to this world with the music you made.
