Fantastic Video Meg! They are some of the best trails in the Lakes! Fair play for riding them on a gravel bike!! The Descent into Elterwater is rough on my full suspension! Keep the videos coming, doing a grand job!! Some good cafe/pub stops on that route too ;-) Thanks for sharing!

Great vid. Thats a route I do regular but from coniston. I climbed that rough route out of Elterwater a few times. It's the worst thing ever, but a damn good descent.

Was looking on RU-vid for someone who actually used the Nukeproof Digger as it is intended to be used, and here I find your videos. This looks awesome fun! I am a road guy / racing and been itching to try this type of riding, so I bought a Nukeproof Digger. You guys look like you know what you are doing! is there any chance you could recommend some flat / clipless pedals for what you are doing here? I have been looking at crankbrothers? (based on your MTB bike gear video) but I really want them to be clip in as well as flat, not just one or other! would appreciate any tips. Did you upgrade / change any of the gear on your Diggers from stock?
@GreatWhyteCreations
@GreatWhyteCreations 3 года назад
Hi! Stoked you liked the vid! I upgraded the wheels to some hope fortus 650b to make them more durable. I also took the dropper off and put carbon bars and post on to make it a bit lighter. I love my digger, I take it everywhere with me. They are capable of so much!
@GreatWhyteCreations

Pedal wise look at the crank bro double shot I think they’re called. Flat one side and clip the other. And they are proper flats too with ample grip.

Just a question please would that route be easier on a mountain bike also have you done anymore gravel rides in the lakes. Great video thanks Alan
@GreatWhyteCreations
@GreatWhyteCreations 2 года назад
Yes, probably best on a hardtail as it takes in quite a bit of road and undulating gravel. The descents would definitely favour a mountain bike!

NIce ride - I know those trails well. @Meg - do you use the factory fitted GRX chainset on the 650b Digger - which I think gives you 40-42 lowest gear? Just wondered how that feels on sharp rocky lakeland climbs. I've just bought one and am debating a smaller chainring for gnarlier days out.
@GreatWhyteCreations
@GreatWhyteCreations 3 года назад
Yea I found it difficult on some of the hills so got a smaller chainring on the front. 38T I run now, and it’s perfect for me. Shimano don’t make one yet but I absolute black do and T.A One do one also. Hope that helps 👍🏻

@@GreatWhyteCreations Thanks - exactly what I was thinking. Did you need to shorten the chain at all when fitting it? Great vids by the way - that full-suss Nukeproof looks ace. Cant wait to get back to the Lakes soon

@GreatWhyteCreations
@GreatWhyteCreations 2 года назад
I run gravel kings most of the year. They role really well on the road but can get sketchy in winter so I often mix my tyres up and have a wtb resolute on the front for a bit more grip

Ordered myself the digger factory 💪 will be here Tuesday Was wondering do you know if you can add spacers to the stem if need be to Raise the bars ? An do you get some in the box ? Thanks
@GreatWhyteCreations
@GreatWhyteCreations 2 года назад
@@thewhitezulu3283 great stuff! It might be that your stem has two spacers on top therefore you can swap them over so the stem sits above them. You cannot exceed the steerer tube height though. Hope that makes sense. Enjoy the bike!
