Freedom in my childhood growing up in the '70s. Rode my bike all over the place, staying out until the street lights flickered on, and the sun had dipped below the horizon. Eight track tapes, record players, knowing all your neighbors, block parties, playing with all the neighborhood kids in their yards and in the streets. Sucking on popsicles, climbing trees, and playing Ghost in the Graveyard. Beautiful memories.
I was 13 years old in 1970. Every song was a story to be told. Even though I am 63 today I can still remember my life back in 1970 and the joy that music added to my life. Thanks for the memories!
I miss that era & its wonderfully dreamy songs as much as I miss the teen movies with teens like Annette Funicello & Franky Avalon & lets not forget that gorgeous tall blonde Brigitte Bardot we see right here! If ever they come up with a time machine before I pass..I’ll be going back to my growing up time, the early 60’s! The values then, fit me to a T! Try as I might..I just don’t feel like I belong in this time zone!😒 Very grateful for this compilation...Thanks uploader!
I'm 68 but this 70s compilation has made me feel like a 20 year old again! I can't help but bop around to the beat! So many of these songs take me back to particular places and the people I was with at that time. Better than any blood pressure pills or statins!
It has always amazed me that a decade like the 1960s, the most controversial, tumultuous decade filled with sexual revolution, Vietnam war protests, rocket to the moon, assasinations of 2 Kennedys and Dr. Martin Luther King, when it seemed the country was tearing itself apart, it produced the sweetest, happiest music of the whole century. Some of the music was dated (try explaining Where have all the flowers gone or Blowin' in the Wind to your grandchildren today), but some is eternal and never fails to lift your spirits when you are down, or get you up and dancing with a memory that flits into mind (Hello Mary Lou, Peggy Sue, Travelin' Man, I got you babe). Thanks for the sweet memories today.

Please take me back. The best era, the best times, Growing up in the 70,s and the 80's and the world seemed so idyllic and simple. What I wouldn't give to go back. when I wish I could go back in time, I start to smile, then I remember all of the horrible things that occurred will have to happen again, like loss of family and friends, then I suddenly experience what Alcoholics refer to as " A Moment of Clarity" about wishing to back in time....lol
This is the music from my teenage years through my early twenties. So many memories good and bad, but the best times in my life and the early 90's. I am just so grateful that I was present during that era and got to experience a way of life (a simple life) that will never be experienced by anyone again. Times will never be like they were which is very unfortunate for young people. Shoot no more cruise, no more keggers, hardly any more dances even, its sad. I guess tik tok, twitter and snapchat is their fun these days. yuk.
Love this Album one of my favorite record on cassette which i always carry with me whenever I travel listening with a headset brings so much memories .. listening now somehow it's depressing I don't know maybe it's just me breaking my own heart for someone I let go..
don’t be overly sad. 70’s was when an angel agreed to marry me. We built a tiny house and had first 2 of 4 children. She has passed now but not from my heart. The 70’s gave us special memories no one can take away. We missed the war and the holocaust and some of us Vietnam so don’t have the horrors others do. 70’s were good to us, treasures deep inside us. Every time we listen to this music others around us may never know our secrets.

Oh Carol. First heard this song being sung by two European school kids as they passed by a roadside stall. Later, I heard the two versions of Oh Carol by Neil Sedaka and The Blue Diamonds in the early 60s.
