Well the bottle has a massive curve in it so it wasn't like a slide that slides across all 6 strings at the same time. An actual slide would've rung all of the strings and it would've sounded bad. I started using a slide 40 years ago. I quickly realized I needed an open tuning to use a slide. But using weird objects like my cigarette lighter or other weird things, it worked in E.
It's feel-good entertainment. Yes. Unfortunately it may have to be setup. Don't overthink it. Enjoy it. If you want something real there's loads of depressing things on the news
Well after he was sitting there looking for saxophone players and found two to have a saxophone off in the middle of a street. Then to top it off, there were two violin players. Hummmm those odds must be astronomical.
I think pacific won this face-off, but down girl was legit too. The bottle slide was completely unexpected, but pacific fit the track a bit better imo.
I think second one won cuz it had more feel even tho it was less complex, the slide was cool especially since the bottle was still half full and the way she goes back to the route note in the second lick after the bend sounds so good
The blonde haired guy definitely won that one. The girl had a nice party trick with the bottle for a slide. But the rest of her solo was decent... but it felt like it was lacking something 🤔 maybe a little finesse, and feel. It just seemed stiff, preprogrammed, and like it didn't fit with your song, Mrs. Hollywood. Maybe she is just a beginner and hasn't had much experience at playing 🤷 not sure. But I know I would have loved to join and play with ya Go-Jo. ✌️😎🤘
Idk man that slide shit was impressive and the harmonized chords were pretty good. Dude also had some prett sweet riffs so it’s hard to say but I think she was pretty good
@Noah Martinez im not trying to discredit her playing. The slide was a different approach and sounded good, but it felt like it was missing something. I'm not knocking her down she was a decent player. But the guy just pulled out Dickey Betts type licks, and to me, it felt like it went better with the song. Just my opinion, tho.

Add them both..play off one another that's a great mix....have her pull the bottle and bring him in just as she finishes the slide at 56 that would sound incredible...
I call a draw. Simply because both were amazing! I could tell the Suttle differences in the shred, however Ole girl grabbed the bottle and went in. 4 thumbs up! 2 4 BOTH!
