Men of that age were a different breed than the rest of us!!! So awesome getting to hear stories like these! It’s almost like I’m sitting right across the campfire from him listening!!
Bret, I in '73 I was part of the Foxfire books as a student in the Appalachian Mountains. We recorded stories from our grandparents, just as these. Thank you for being a historian for the southwest.

Watching this again after work, at 48:15 , he says something that I have always believed. A dog does not know which way its headed on a lion track. I have seen it done on bear, but never a lion, we had to turn the dogs around once we seen the track. Now, I have seen dogs go both directions once.
