@@debbiegrasse3920 In one of the ejections, the player threw the official off himself - you do not make intentional contact with an official. The one where #51 was ejected, he was lucky not to be also flagged for verbal abuse of the referee.
@@KaiserBruh Jeff Perry even said this when he ejected Dante Wesley for a flagrant hit on Clifton Smith (as Smith attempted a fair catch): "That player, by virtue of his actions, is disqualified from further particpation." That would be the best way to say it.
@@philsphan4414 yup hockey players have a "game misconduct" also known as a match penalty. Theres also a 10 minute misconduct where a player is removed from the rink for 10 mins
The guy in the very first video, the 49ers vs Chargers one, is the brother of my family doctor. He got me a football signed by the whole team, including Terrell Owens, Steve Young and Jerry Rice. Way cool guy.. Derek Smith is his name
9:33 He called the wrong number! #11 of Baltimore was headslammed and he was penalized for that? That ref who called it was one of the worse refs of NFL
Makes me laugh how Joe Buck shows no emotion when Baker plants Foles into the turf but acts like Randy Moss shot up a preschool when he mooned the Packers fans
Lifelong Packer fan here. I LAUGHED when Randy Moss "mooned" the fans at Lambeau. The Packers passed him up in the '98 draft for one Vonnie Holliday (who?), then passed on him at least twice in free agency as well. Now he's a Hall-of-Famer.
Zanye East When I watched the Baker block, I didn’t see it as a blindside. He hit Foles in the chest, and didn’t use his helmet. First rule you learn in football is keep your head on a swivel
@@Andrewlang90 That his is the definition of a blindside block. the league defines as a foul "if a player initiates a block when he is moving toward or parallel to his own end line and makes contact to his opponent with his helmet, forearm or shoulder."
Could be worse. You could have had Andy Reid. Always a bridesmaid never a bride. Watch him steer that team at KFC into the playoffs...and not be ready with a 2 minute drill. Its one thing to have a bad team from jump street. Its another to have a geat team and continually come up short. Eagles won a Superbowl in my lifetime. I can stop watching now. They are on the way to suckdom again.
Absolutely! But, where were F'ing Refs & NFL on helmet to helmet with Davis, now out for good, head injury? Been watching Skins 50 yrs & oldschool, most this wouldn't be called! Davis should Civilly sue the dude who helmeted, when down too...on purpose
People like you have to remember the Field is Mic'd. You guys don't see the guys with the parabolic mics on the field? The clear satellite devices. The problem is when they start swearing and they have to censor it or sometimes they don't catch it.
@@RabbitsInBlack ‘People like me’, what the fuck are you on about man? You sound dumb as fucking rocks trying to act like some knowitall as if you’d need some higher knowledge to conceptualize the very thought of there being mics on the field. I made a goofy observation, no one gives a shit that you think you’re some kind of all knowing NFL god.
@@RabbitsInBlackmy favorite moment of something like this is when the cavaliers were playing the clippers on espn and DeAndre Jordan dunks the ball hard and screams GODDAMNIT at the top of his lungs and you could hear it clear as day on the TV I cracked up hahaha
The umpire used to be the official who stood just behind the defensive line (now he's behind the offensive line, on the other side of the quarterback from the referee). Their primary responsibility was, and is, watching the line play for holding. They had to be tough because the flow of play came right at them as often as not.
Duke OfOmnium it's a joke because he shoved Smith like crazy (a good 2-3 times before Smith did a thing to him), and flagged him for a tiny touch. That's not being tough
When given an ejection, the best course of action is to get into the ref's face and start screaming. I'm sure that will make him change his mind and reverse his decision.
Yep. If they had thrown punches at each other like Aqib Talib and Michael Crabtree did in the Raider-Broncos game, that would've been a reason for an ejection
ceversole1 I wonder if they flagged the one player for the illegal hit. Completely unnecessary to pick up the WR and drive him to the ground like that.
This video reminds me of the movie 'necessary roughness' when a linebacker starts karate kicking the other team and rob Schneider is like " aw c'mon that was a clean kick to the face mask" lol
I still remember that game. I wish they showed the entire brawl, it was insane. Several players were ejected by the time it was over, notably Baker (obviously) and Jason Peters for throwing a punch.
They must have forgotten about the initial hit after they had to sort out everything else from the fight, I guess. But that is how it normally is when it comes to fighting in sports. It's always the retaliation that gets busted. That being said, yeah, they missed a huge unsportsmanlike there. They probably missed a few more, given how massive that fight was.
@@Red_the_dead_in_bed_2 I’m Australian and only follow the NFL part time but even I know that particular tackle was overly aggressive, intentionally reckless . It is absolutely beyond me that with six referees on the field that not one of them picked that up.
@Agent J yeah, when you say you are a "professional" it doesnt matter if youre a pilot, surgeon, salesman, or football player, if you have a rage induced emotional tantrum you should be immediately terminated.
@Agent J Lol that's your excuse? You have to do something pretty big to get ejected from the game. He shoved an official. And they know they are not suppose to even touch them. That was all that dudes fault. Not the officials.
These are grown men. If they're not responding to verbal commands and you get in between them while they're throwing hands, no sympathy. Completely deserve it.
Getting ejected = paying fines of tens of thousands of dollars, and getting suspended = no pay for that week, so it is a pretty big deal, they do lose a load of money if they do stupid crap like that. Also, not every player gets paid millions of dollars.
Dangit don trust me I know I’ve been a die hard fan my whole life and it all went down hill when Dan Snyder bought the team the guy is an idiot. Wasted 1st round picks on busts signing trash players for big money like Albert Haynesworth it’s total disfunction.
Aaron Clark everybody knows he’s one of the dirtiest players in the league....thanks for stating the obvious. It’s comments like yours that seriously make me want you to contemplate your life
disappointed i didn’t see talib stealing crabtree’s chain and starting a fight, for us bronco fans that easily has been one of the biggest highlights since 2016
*player moves refs hand off of his body* *refs turns into hulk, starts shoving with all his migh* *player whispers to himself "wtf is happening right now?"
They missed the best game ever. Thanksgiving day, 1977, cardinal vs. Dolphins. Both teams cleared the benches. Every single player from both sides were out on the field fighting. Conrad Dobler, threw his helmet in the stands after he was ejected.
@@markstrazisar9656 , yes, he was a beast. I was a fin fan back then, but still loved conrad Dobler. (After 50 years as a fin fan, passing up on Justin Herbert, for mr. glass, was the last straw for me.). So , went to my 2nd favorite.. BENGALS....
I love the announcers acting shocked when the fans enjoy a fist fight as if football is a gentleman’s game. I love football, but let’s not pretend that we don’t enjoy the big hits and fights. 🤷🏼♂️
It’s all barbaric lol, even though I love the game. What I don’t love is the people who say “that’s football, stope being soft” because is isn’t. If you wanna watch a fight there’s always boxing or UFC, I paid to watch a pig skin get tossed around. You’re not soft because you’d like to watch football at a football game lol.
Generic Gaming Commentator 827 TBF though, the GB player was being an ass, the helmet shove wasn't what got him ejected, it was the kick. But frankly, Suh isn't more dirty than anyone else in the league, he's just had a few stupid incidents over the years
Never cared much for the "disqualified" label, "ejected" sounds better, but even stronger sounding to me would be: "# xx has been vomited from the game. His actions have made us sick."
I get that the ref was doing his job, but it ain't like smith was "aggressive" toward the ref; he was just kinda brushing his arm off his chest after the ref kept pushing him. It wasn't anything deliberate
If the ref's job is to manhandle these guys then there should be an acceptable amount of pushback. He wasn't attacking him, he was removing his hands from him. There's a difference.
Yeah, and the ref was out of line. You manhandle a player who has adrenaline pumping and then act surprised when he stops you from manhandling him. He wasn't being aggressive toward the ref, he was just getting him off of him. Seems reasonable to me. Sometimes the rules are shit.
