On this day, 60 years ago, during the March on Washington, MLK delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech to about 250,000 people. I’m not black, but there’s a power and boldness in his speeches that is so unmatched! No matter what race or ethnicity you are, this is someone who everyone should look up to and respect: a hero and a warrior!

@jamessaunders2559 Год назад
@@penonpaper3132 The year that hope was made in America, a time I never forgot, would ultimately serve as a reminder of how far North America as a whole and the entire world has fallen. I remembered Obama as the President that would change the world. Sadly, the change he made would never come to be realized, not in the entirety that he envisioned. The power of Greed had shown its ugly face in so many ways, we forgot that we were even looking at it to begin with. When the world had started to burn and drown itself, nobody had decided enough was enough. When Biden had started the Ukraine war, nobody batted an eye. When BLM and MeToo started, everyone knew how it would end: as a terrible tragedy for everyone involved. People learned what being toxic and cancel culture is. Corporations have been getting away with the moral equivalence of genocide even into the future because it won’t be addressed until the damage is done. Canada has now become the new Russia under Trudeau after Trump left the office and Biden becomes faced with his own creation in Ukraine. RU-vid, social media, Roblox and Netflix all dig their own graves. People forgot and still forget what it means to be themselves. The Pandemic revealed worldwide corruption from governments and private industry that manufactured vaccines. Slavery is still alive today, but it comes in forms we can even find in Canada. Racism still lives on strong throughout the world. We haven’t cured the social problems caused by modern day smart phones. We also fail to act on the information that is found about it. Social stigmatization is something that sociologists and psychologists around the world need to fight but haven’t done yet. Poorly raised children are growing up to become more than just a menace to society, but a menace to the world. These are just some of the most pressing issues that have come since and before Obama took power.

Canada is still a free and peaceful country, Russia is not. The vaccines worked, that's all i care about. Racism will never die. Smart phones have done more good than harm. After writing this, none of these were Obamas fault, a few are from SCOTUS, China and Russia, and the main culprit misinformation and QAnon. Politics aside, none of this was Obamas fault lol

@@OBrien-hi9zq The sixties saw assassinations, civil rights struggles, riots, a 'depraved' sexual revolution, an explosion of drug use, and a war that killed ten times the number of Americans than all the wars since. The seventies continued to fuel our decline with Watergate, the Iranian hostage crisis, the rise of terrorism, Japan's rise to economic dominance, and the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. We were impotent, a paper tiger so I heard, a shadow of our former selves. Except we weren't. The predictions were wrong then, and I think they might be just as wrong now. For the sake of my grandchildren at least, I sure hope that they are.

I think preaching in a church and talking to the people he spoke to helped him with that. He wasn’t a politician speaking blindly to a crowd, he was speaking to people. Just like when he preached, he was just talking to people who had thoughts, needs, and dreams. Even as a teenager who never lived through the civil rights movement, mostly likes to stay out of politics, and disagrees with Kings entire religion, I can’t help but respect the man. A man who fought for what his people needed and didn’t hurt others in the process is one who deserves respect and recognition throughout the ages.

I’ve for many years admired that man and his warning to the USA. I’ve for many years felt heartbroken that his warning went over the heads of most who heard it. My feelings are the same for two speeches made by JFK one of which was slightly similar to IKEs but warns against infiltration by unelected people. President Barak H.Obama stands tall,taller n in fact the tallest so far. I am 78 yrs., n have seen at least six Presidents come and go.If all men will be honest, guy,Obama was specially appointed n anointed ,sent, elected, n delivered to reshape the cause of America. But some unscrupulous racist among us blocked His (God's) divine intervention. But who is this ones? The Bush's n the Trump's ? The # 2 Corinthians ...what a miss! We need to pray more, not for The # type of #2 Corinthians anymore, but for The Second Revelations of the 2nd Coming of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He is the only One who can put back the ploughing shed n platooning that we deserve. Until dat let us keep on PRAYING FOR HIS BLESSED COMING🙏🙏🙏HALLELUJAH, AMEN! N AMEN!!!!

There’s something oddly moving about seeing MLK filmed in color. I’ve seen color photos of him, but only ever black and white footage. He seems so historical, so monumental in black and white, but in color, it makes him seem so real. It’s hard to explain, but it’s fascinating seeing him as he was to many, a preacher (reverend but you get the point). It’s interesting seeing him more as a man, rather than a historical figure

@shadowyshadow6498 3 года назад
He was a excellent orator. Not a doubt about that. He was not, however, a good man by any stretch of the imagination. Not at all. He watched a woman get sexually assaulted and laughed about it. Just on the night that happened to be his death alone, Ralph Abernathy said himself that he struct a unarmed woman hard enough to send her across the room in the hotel he was staying at. A serial plagiarizer, cheated on his wife with dozens and dozens of women he got to knew at his speeches and prostitutes. I don't consider someone who follows these actions a "such a good man". Not at all. You should seriously reconsider what you call "such a good man.".

@@strongjoseph Believe it or not, many American heroes didn't "laugh" at rape, murder and other unjust moral actions like the great MLK. Some of them actually fought against what you would consider to be immorality and wrongdoing.
