Dont remember the game but the mechanic was intense. ZvP with MASS broodlord microing and fireing on it's own spawns to fight the protoss army at a safe distance with endless streams.
Playing a bit from what Nate C W said, an episode of players giving the GG, when they clearly had the win but didn't know it! (you know the rage was there when they saw the replay) 😋
I feel like that strat would be, counterintuitively, not very good against low-level players (I don't know your rank), because bad players are way more likely to depend on overcompensating via static defense (which means detection). It is very specifically something that works against higher level Protoss BECAUSE they are supposed to know better. Which is pretty funny, I think
"A Thor !" - a professional cast, apparently, 10 seconds before the Thor rush hits - These best-ofs really show the difference between mediocre observing/casting and at least decent ones. Great video nonetheless.
@@happyclouds5615 still is but his videos are great. if you love fun sc2 games definitely go watch uthermal's youtube channels. He's got some great runs to grandmaster with stupid stuff like ravens/hellions, or ghost only.
The Thor and mech games against Protoss are the best! Poor Stats and Showtime... I'm surprised you didn't include Gumiho's Battlecruiser game against Classic, that was also one of the best Terran games against Protoss!
Many Terran tried to make TvP Mech work, Maru, TY, Gumiho, Fantasy all had their attempts. None of the attempts really last long. It works once or twice as surprise strategy but once Protoss knows what they are up against they can easily counter it. There are simply too many things that works well against Mech in current SC2 Protoss untis, chargelots, blink stakers, disruptors, imortals, void rays, carriers etc. One bad engagement from Terran it's over because Mech army is so slow and expensive and is not much more powerful compare to bio. Immortals especially is something that's designed specifically to counter tanks, felt like someone in SC2 design team was tired of how PvT look like in BW.
@@nasigil5928 well that's why I said blue flame with tanks. Blue flames are going to counter chargelots, and blink stalkers generally don't fair well against mass tanks anyway. Voidrays definitely sounds like it maybe an issue from the lack of anti-air with just hellbats and tanks. But I guess the main downside would be against disruptors because of the immobility.
You just answered your own question... if the two players raced in purely building units and disregarded upgrades, stalkers win every time. You can mass them much quicker. The strat you are theorizing relies solely on element of surprise. That the opponent doesn't and cannot figure out beforehand what may be coming. Thus your proposed strategy is niche and can only work in one way. If Protoss started working on air, then obviously Terran couldn't do that. Again, you're relying solely on beforehand information.
