I have recently purchased gree fairy 1.5 and its cooling is amazing but today i have attached amp meter to check why is it cooling so much even on 28set temperature and amp meter showed the inverter is taking too much ampere like it goes upto 9-10amp and goes down to 5-7amp range. Room is feels very cold temperature doesnt feel like its 28 but it feels much more than that. Why is my inverter ac is taking too much power even after meeting the desired set temperature. I have checked the inner unit and i cant see the ambient temperature sensor in it.
Bhaie, apnay indoor unit ki backside check karo. Agar wahan pipe aur kit k liay holes keay huay hain to unhain mukamal band karo. yeh masla theak ho jaye ga. Main nay bhi 2 weeks pahlay fairy econo purchase kea tha. Maira bhi same masla aa raha tha. jub gree k technicians ay aur unhon nay check kea to pata chala k indoor unit k backside pay two holes thay. Unhon nay plaster of paris say woh wholes mukamal band kar deay hain. ab maira AC bilkul normal cooling karta hay aur din k wakat 3 ampere k around rahta hay.
Jub indoor unit k peechay holes hotay hain to woh wahan say garam hawa khainchta hay aur woh garam hawa AC k sensor pay parti rahti hay. Iss liay AC ka temperature sensor yeh samajhta hay khy room garam hi hay aur woh musalsal run hota rahta hay takhay room ko thanda kar sakay.

well rehan,,,,,, i have the same model and it's taking too much ampere. i called several technicians and they all said that it's taking too much ampere. it goes up to 10.5 amperes. if you want I can show it to you. I would not recommend this AC at all.

I had the same problem. The problem lies with the the incorrect positioning of indoor temperature sensor. The room temperature fails to attain the set temperature, thus forcing compressor to keep running at high speed thus consuming more electricity and also making room uncomfortably cool even if set temperature is 28 or 29 degree celcius. Making changes in the position of this indoor sensor on unit the PROBLEM has been resolved. My bedroom area is 265 sqft on ground floor and very little or no direct exposure to sun. After start of ac, it took around 25 minutes to reach set temperature of 27 degree celcius and amperes drawn is almost constant around 2.3 amps for most of the time.
@@aquilurr yes you are right but their sensor cable is too short to change the position. Their technician told me on the phone to change the sensor position but I cannot change it. Also their IFeel sensor on remote is useless as well.
@@asimkamalkhan same here. The sensor wire is short and fixing with this length makes the matter more problematic when fixing in front at bottom of evaporator. The room temperature here even fails to reach 33 degree celcius. So the gree technician extended the length of sensor by splicing a piece of wire. Now this sensor was placed at a higher location (just adjacent to filter inlet from top). The ac seems to be working perfectly and temperature properly controlled. Before this i was consuming 12 units on average for seven hour running of ac at night with temp setting of 28 or 29. Now running 8 hours at night consuming 5 to 6 units at 27 degree temp setting.
