Czech Republic was the toughest opponent to face in this stage. They are a compact team, with experienced players that played together for many years. Their style is actually the epitomy of old school basketball. They underestimated themselves by finishing 4th. They deserved a spot in the quarter finals. IMO, it was a huge win for my home country, which will be the guide for reaching the final.

One word… GREECE.🇬🇷

Great game for Czech republic. They were a tough opponent from the beginning to the end. Then Giannis decided to drop some jaw dropping three pointers and the game was over.. This was also a great game for Papapetrou. Glad to see him reach the standards of the past.

Congrats to the Czech republic and coach Ginsburg for really making this match again so hard and fun to watch. My hat out Satoransky - Hruban -Auda- Vesely- Balvin and the entire team they truly are a great generation for Czech basketball. As for Greece coach Itoudis decision to play Giannis as a 5 late in the second quarter and the entire second half really paid off. I was expecting to see more screens and the pick and rolls from Giannis but the size and structure of the Czechs defence made it extremely hard. They cluttered the paint for Giannis forcing Greece to shoot deep 3s. Kudos to Greece making some big plays on defence once again when it mattered. One game at a time.

the Czech coach was amazing. His team dominated the game in first half. Offence that could not be stopped by greek defence. You can see the frustration of Papanikolaou here 0:53. Congrats to my team, that slowly found the way out with very hard defence in the 4th quarter

Glad that Greek bench helped a lot in this match. Larentzakis and Papapetrou carried the team when it needed the most. Calathes shouldn't get angry with Agravanis in the first half, knowing how psychological type of player the latter is.

Czechia,managed to keep Giannis dry at the beginning, great defense in the first 3 periods. It was until Greece swapped to a more versatile quicker line up in the 4th period, with Giannis at the 5 position. After that it was game over. But great game overall.

Papapetrou's and Larentzakis's appearances lifted the spirit of the team. I don't know what happened but 3 pointer shoots were very bad today and the Czechs 3 pointer accuracy was incredible. I know Calathes could do much better, Sloukas and Giannis improved towards the end. Also need to see more from big Papa. Czechs were quite good for 3 quarters but lost it completely in the 4th quarter when the Greek team started playing aggressively and was pushing them to do many mistakes. Maybe this was the Greek team's tactics. Itoudis seemed calm most of the game.

Everyone's talking about Giannis but Papapetrou changed the game.

Great game, Czech's coach found a way to lock us out for the most part. Unbelievable shots, smart defence. Giannis was deactivated for 3 qrt, good thing we remained close, if we had lost touch with the score early on, it would be game over, we wouldn't turn it around. It was like a final to me, i doubt if any other team remaining can face us like that.

Now i survived from getting a heart attack i have to congatulate Czech team for their compact, clever and talented team they have. Their strategy almost imprisoned Giannis but in the end he remembered HE IS AN UNSTOPPAPLE MIRACLE OF NATURE! Kudos to our players Calathes, Papapetrou, Larentzakis with crucial plays when needed. Not very satisfied with todays performance but again all teams have quality and i am expecting better team play overall from Greece. Great game by the Czechs, they showed that they didn't reach this stage by chance! Their defense wasn't that great as some here claim, but their offense was super positive and efficient - they seem to know the game. Their future will probably bright and we are gonna see a lot more of them in the future. Now to Greece, we were -as we regularly do in such competitions- in a bad night. This could be seen in the countless misses in wide open shots, even in short range shots or uncontested lay ups. Let's hope this was an one time thing and it doesn't repeat itself in the next game. Congrats to both for a wonderful and intense game!

Well done to Czechia 👏, it had a great team and well prepared to face ours, it gave us a hard time last evening but fortunately we managed to prevail once more. I hope Greece manages to earn our third gold in this tournament after 1987 and 2005. Next game we face Germany 🇩🇪. LET'S GOOOO!!! 🇬🇷✌️
