In the overcrowded Moria refugee camp, home to 20,000, one young Afghan woman is helping others by teaching them English.
Fereshta Azimi is Afghan. Every afternoon, she gives English lessons to other refugee women to help them regain self-confidence. Even if her efforts may seem derisory, they are nevertheless of precious help: the wait for a residence permit in a European country can last months, even years for these women who find themselves confined in a transit space, far from their country
Who is this young migrant? How does she live? What are her dreams and what does the future hold for her?

It's a pretty sad situation but the girl herself says that the majority of the men in the camp is bad people and she doesn't go out at night. Imagine also how the Greek natives of the island feel!

They are safe there, but instead you exploit them and use them as weapons against the EU. Now who is the hypocrite ? The refugees should ask asylum in the first country they enter. Put loads of leaves in a double skinned plastic duvet covers to create large heavy insulation panels. It's a cheap survival tip that might save some lives in refugee camps in winter.

You would think by now the camp organizers would of strongly encourage one place for the men and one place for the woman and children/Family unit. Set on this journey and unfortunately this is a consequence of that decision.

I think it's harder that it seems. What about families? Should they be separated? What about children, should they be separated when they reach certain age? The problem there is not just some troublemakers; even good intended people suffer from hoplessness and poor conditions. Separating them will not achieve much. The problem there is their conditions, which are not going to improove. The refugees are being used as political leverage in geopolitics between Turkey and EU. Greece still struggles with its economy. Add to that the GrecoTurkish border dispute... Even if the chef personnel of the camp had the best of intentions, it's a refugee camp for 3000 people. Now it houses over 20000. It is a global problem, not something that a small group of people or even a nation could solve. It requires many countries to coordinate and actually care. That's why it is called a humanitarian crisis.

There is no war in their home countries. It's all ended with outside help. They didn't even do this bare minimum. Now after 20 years of fighting, majority of Afghans voted for Taliban. Facing famine, no problem, West give them more help!

I was there in 2019, it's was really an open air prison There was a lot of people from many different countries, the conditions were very bad and unbearable. I am in Belgium now and I have a good life, because I am working hard and I am happy now.

Do you really think they would be living there if they had a choice? And now it burned down and they are living on the streets with not enough food or water, in the boiling sun. Children, on the street. Take a look around the internet. And it is thanks to people like you that we aren't allowing them to go anywhere, just sit there waiting for things to go worst. We need to give them some decent living conditions and their basic needs met. Are you human out there? Do you really think making jokes about lesbians while people are suffering and dying is at all appropriate?

She couldn't explain the situation of Asylum seekers and refugees! Afghan people they run away from war and fear of persecution of Taliban or ISS and Alqaede. Also because some Afghan people they are minority of religion and Trip in Afghanistan,so they are targeting by another strong and different religion is named : Pashton Also who's flee from Iran 🇮🇷,because of some reason! First discriminates and racism attacks of Iranian or police, because just we are Afghan and legal or illegal 🚫 there , the Iranian government they don't give them any official documents to living there and working there ! Also Iranian regime send them to Soria to fight for them like mercenaries!! So they abuse of afghan people in iran and they don't have basic needs to go to school and working , and always take a lot of money from them to let them stay and live in Iran !!
