Pablo Garcia I was born in germany and I lived in germany my whole life. I'm more used to the german culture, than to the russian culture. But yeah, I'm not 100% german.
LeonAmarantos no... I have german ancestors as well. So you are probably african, because every human life started in africa thousands of years ago. And as I said I was born in germany, I was raised in germany, I was never in russia neither I can speak or read russian. I just can understand russian most of the time. I'm not full blood german thats true, but who's family is in todays time 100% from the same country of origin anyway? Neither is every US American 100% american.
I just wanted to say also here that I visited Germany, and Germans think that Germany is better than Greece, but it's not, Germans are usually moody depressed people who hate people from other countries and Germany is a gray dull country. I visited Greece and it was like the best time in my life, Greeks are warm people just like their country and they know how to live happily, Greece is very beautiful and sunny, i fell in love with this country. It's the place where you can be happy. greets from Russia.
Spanish people are exactly the same as the Greeks jajajajaja. Its all one big Roman Mediterranean family: Spanish, Italians and Greeks. We all love Wine, Olive Oil and we all take siestas too jajajaja.
80 years after Evander fom Arcadia [Greece ] Trojan refuges came to the region under the Command of Aeneas ,is good to remember who wasthe founder of Troy in Greek mythology, Dardanus (/ˈdɑːrdənəs/; Ancient Greek: Δάρδανος[1], Dardanos) was a son of Zeus and Electra (daughter of Atlas) and founder of the city of Dardanus at the foot of Mount Ida in the Troad. Contents 1 Mythology 2 Family tree 3 Notes 4 References Mythology Dionysius of Halicarnassus (1.61-62) states that Dardanus' original home was in Arcadia[Greece], where Dardanus and his elder brother Iasus (elsewhere more commonly called Iasion) reigned as kings following Atlas. Dardanus married Chryse, daughter of Pallas,[2] by whom he fathered two sons: Idaeus and Deimas. When a great flood occurred, the survivors, who were living on mountains that had now become islands, split into two groups: one group remained and took Deimas as king while the other sailed away, eventually settling in the island of Samothrace. There Iasus (Iasion) was slain by Zeus for lying with Demeter. Dardanus and his people found the land poor and so most of them set sail for Asia Minor.
And iaM sure yourember the myth of the Sabbine Woomen and the RomansLegend says that the Romans abducted Sabine women to populate the newly built Rome. The resultant war ended only by the women throwing themselves and their children between the armies of their fathers and their husbands. The Rape of the Sabine Women became a common motif in art; the women ending the war is a less frequent but still reappearing motif. According to Livy, after the conflict, the Sabine and Roman states merged, and the Sabine king Titus Tatius jointly ruled Rome with Romulus until Tatius' death five years later. Three new centuries of Equites were introduced at Rome, including one named Tatienses, after the Sabine king. According to Dionysius of Halicarnassus, many Roman historians (including Porcius Cato and Gaius Sempronius) regarded the origins of indigenous Romans to be Greek, even though their knowledge was derived from Greek legendary accounts.[3] Dionysius regarded Lista as the mother-city of the Aborigines.[4] Ancient historians debated the specific origins of the Sabines. Zenodotus of Troezen claimed that the Sabines were originally Umbrians that changed their name after being driven from the Reatine territory by the Pelasgians. However, Porcius Cato argued that the Sabines were a populace named after Sabus, the son of Sancus (a divinity of the area sometimes called Jupiter Fidius).[5] In another account mentioned in Dionysius's work, a group of Lacedaemonians fled Sparta since they regarded the laws of Lycurgus as too severe. In Italy, they founded the Spartan colony of Foronia (near the Pomentine plains) and some from that colony settled among the Sabines. According to the account, the Sabine habits of belligerence (aggressive or warlike behavior) and frugality (prudence in avoiding waste) were known to have derived from the Spartans.[6] Plutarch also mentions, in the Life of Numa Pompilius, "Sabines, who declare themselves to be a colony of the Lacedaemonians". [Spartans]
LOL. But the irony is in Germany going out for dinner usually means eating at a Italian, Chinese or Greek restaurant instead of one with "real" German food.
+lucius1976 there is no german food my friend :D i havent found any in 3 years i have been living 2 years in Bonn and one year in Leipzig . :D I dont know why but everywhere the food is same BRATWURST, CURRYWURST, BOCKWURST and its a fast food not a dish :D
It isn't like in this video, In Germany we don't only talk about the work also about Football and other stuff. The food depends where you are when you are in the south we have a big variety of food of course the Greeks have a lot more. But the video is funny greatings from Germany. Fuck the politics I like Greece
@@CanadianMonarchist hahaha no I think the favourite topic of Germans is definitely football and politics. Every time when I go out with my friends football is the topic Nr.1
We love it...

@ The video, you can change greek language to spanish language and it's still valid. Spaniards do exactly the some things. The love chat, love eat, love drink, and yes they also fight to pay it.
I am Greek who lives in Germany and I really don't understand why this video causes so much fuss and discontent. It is just humor and it exaggerates both sides. It is called "sarcasm", which we as Greek people, have a lot. ( Yout should see how we make fun of are own people). I've shown this video, to many of mine German friends and all of them reacted either negative or were pretending laughing. My opinion is that you have to take it as it is. That means, as humor. It is true tha we are diffent people, in mentality and habits, but that is true for every nation in Europe. And that is the beuty of EU.
FlipposMC WOW io al massimo, oltre all'italiano, so farfugliare qualche parola in inglese e spagnolo.
FlipposMC Il tuo Italiano è molto buono, complimenti !
All Mediterranean countries have the same mentality. Even Lebanese are similar to Greeks and Italians. I am not sure about turkey. But Lebanese Spanish and especially Italians are very similar to Greeks.
Daniel Jackson that is not how it works...some people are desperate....the politicians give fake promisings ..and then when they get ellected they fuck up everything...
Living in a part of the US that has a large Greek population, I can tell you, if the owner of the restaurant is Greek, there is an amazing variety of food, you want Italian, check, Greek, check, German, check, Polish, check, Ribs, check, BBQ, check. How to know the restaurant you're in is a Greek restaurant in the States, it has the ubiquitous chicken lemon rice soup and gyro meat served at least three ways.
@Olga Vir Thank you for your information. I only wanted to emphasize our similarity. I didn't mean that all of them has original turkish root. We are living in reachest historical part of the world, many civilizations lived in this geography and we are transferring and sharing this diversity.Cheap nationalism and racism should has no place in our modern world.Long live friendship and peace between Turkey and Greece 🇹🇷❤️🇬🇷
lasagna, pastitsio, strapatsada, makaronia, etc we have a lot more common foods with italy and the balkans than with turkey. Plus i think turkish cuisine is more close to the cuisine of the caucasus (peinirli, lachmatzoun etc) and iran (pilaf, pilau, kebab etc) than to greek cuisine.

the irish do that paying thing too I swear. I say to my folks "why don't you pay this time and then the next time your friends/relatives will pay". But nooooo, every restaurant meal has to end in this Greek-style arguing with both groups demanding to pay #facepalm
stormdreamer01 actually here in greece at 1000BC- 438 AC we had an other gods (12) the chief was Zeus so according to him all the greeks should be friendly to other greeks and especially to foreigners so actually it's something traditional here in Greece to do that and maybe SOME other countries took that from us so if you want free meals be friend with a greek but don't say that you'll pay because he will start a fight ;) :) :D
As someone who’s German but whose parents are Greek I really loved this. Especially funny is the fact that I can understand both languages spoken in these video. Edit:Greek-German as in born and raised in Germany but my family is originally from Greece 🇬🇷 🇩🇪

Same with me, my mother is also Greek and my father German. I would say, this is a great combination. I live in Germany but wish I would live in Greece!
I'm Greek Living in Germany. If we would replace the food, the weather, the landscapes, and add a little bit of humour and sarcasm in the german genes, life would be perfect here.
καλημέρα hehe this was funny although we (yes I am German) really do chat a lot in restaurants (well maybe a little less passionate) and we have really more than ξθστ Schnitzel, like Greek salad or σουβλάκι χαχα (I'm just learning Greek, so no Google ;) and I am not blond! :D Don't let our governments divide us normal people, we need less prejudice in our fucked up world not more. I love Greece, keep your heads up!
After 400 years of occupation there are many common things we share (either we like it or not) We should focus on those things and stop believing this stupid propaganda our governments force us to believe.
Bro do you even realize that the reason Greece doesn't have a great military is because we are in an economic depression and yet the Greek people have a much better attitude and determination then germans
Kraevorn I'm part Greek and Italian and I'm used to seeing ten conversations going at once and fights for the bills. My grandma ends up telling the waiter secretly to give it to her it's hilarious 😂
I love that Greek people even having economic and more problems ( refugges, bad relations with neighboor countries) are still more happy, open hearted and loud people than any other country of Europe..
So to be honest, we are Germans just like the Greeks in this video when we go to eat with friends. And nobody in Germany eats schnitzel with rice ... :-D
For Gyros...well...Taverns do not always serve Gyros and souvlaki...There are special restaurants serving them.. For Kartoffelsalat..well..I guess we need a German..
Tehgeneral13 I know that Gyros are more "fast food" than anything else, but I thought you just can't have a show making fun of stereotypes without one of the first dishes that many people think about when they think about Greek food. As for the German part, we all love to make fun of their long words don't we ?

The part where they fight over who's gonna pay is so fucking true, I'm halfgreek and I pay a visit every summer if I can, and really, it's a battlefield. Doesn't matter if it's 200€ on a tavern or 2€ for a frappé, if you want to pay for yourself you better get ready for a fight.
Yeah, the link didn't work for me (wasn't the dots either, just dead link, maybe there was a copy paste error?) Anyways, I'm working on getting a hold of this paper! I'm very interested.
Love greece. Went to Milos last year and it was awesome. Planning to visit again this year. Any suggestion of a good island in cyclades with good sea food and beaches?
To all the German friends feeling that Greece owes them money.. Don't forget to arrange a BIG payment to Greece for graciously giving you Democracy, Philosophy, Christianity etc etc..
Now that we've agreed to disagree through a private message (where we could comfortable express our emotions without it being in a public place), could you please send me the title of the study along with the main authors? Please, I am very interested in this study, I have been since I first heard of it sometime last year. However, without authors & titles, I can not find it anywhere - I've looked extensively for it, and find nothing. All I ask is authors and title of study. Thank you.
Personally I don't "love" or "hate" someone just because he/she was born in a certain country. If you are good and kind to me I shall be the same to you. No matter what! Now if Greece owes to Germany money or the other way around, I don't know(I believe is both). I'm not a politician. I like everyone... Just be kind and have some sense of humor.
