It would've been hilarious if the answer to the 2nd captain's dilemma was on the back of one of those $100 bills that Chuck let her hold. I guess Independence Hall is on the back of the $100 bill so it wouldn't have helped anyways.
The first team of the next episode won $200,000 and the team after that had two contestants each winning a car after bailing on the $2 million question.

We were looking for US Treasury and it was on the back of the $10 bill. 53:53 - NO, it's not four and you were not even close because we were looking for eight because there are eight states that starts with a M. So let me tell you the eight states that starts with a M - Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, and Montana.)

SPOILER. . . . . . That 500K question was a good question. I just had a feeling the correct four answers that were revealed, I would’ve gotten them right. Since I knew Toyota and Volkswagen were very popular at the time and still are, and same with Ford and GM.
This may actually be worse than the March 17 episode. The only players on both episodes were terminator challengers. Double wrong answer at $500K, crash at $200K, and crash at $100K. March 17 saw three teams crash at $200K.
Well I prefer this episode over March 17 because the first team had Tony Hill of the Dallas Cowboys as their captain and unlike March 17 unless a team even made it to $500,000.

That $100K Question was so easy, it’s ridiculous, especially how 2 people couldn’t think that far off the top of their heads. Even worse was how the rest of the team would’ve most likely known that there are 8 US States that begin with “M”. It proves that in this game, the Captain position isn’t necessarily earned, it’s just given.
So many times a Captain refusing to use the freebie leads to a loss. I understand wanting to save it but a saved freebie is worthless if you get the question wrong. Unless a person is 100 percent confident on all 4 answers, the freebie must be used.

That final $200,000 question on money money money really shocked me my answers were the exact same I was extremely shocked and surprised that the Washington monument was the wrong answer never would’ve guessed the us treasury
I was actually surprised to hear Chuck say that the Washington Monument would have been eliminated by the freebie, I thought it would have been the Statue of Liberty.
I been watching reruns of Greed, and the producers throw in trick questions (like pineapple toppings on ice cream is more popular than strawberry). I think the rule of thumb is you should leave with the money when you have no freebie because when there is more multiple choice, you could only change one answer. I don't look at the Terminator as a way take a teammate's stake, I look at it as going home with something.
I was hoping for the concert question where $500,000 was at stake. Rich is going to regret it for changing from Grateful Dead to Elton John. They could've got the $500,000 if Rich did not change from Grateful Dead to Elton John. Too bad they lost the $500,000 because Elton John was a wrong answer - it was the Grateful Dead which Brian pick and had it right. Brian was not happy that Rich changed from Grateful Dead to Elton John. just like Russell was not happy that Michael the captain changed from Muzak to Birth Control Pills.

How is it possible that GM and Ford weren't the most blatantly obvious correct answers to everyone? Even in 2000. My 4 were GM, Ford, Toyota and BMW (I knew Volkswagen could have been and was right but I wasn't sure). I 100 percent knew Honda and Hyundai were definitely wrong.
If you could hear Linda and Bill, they put too much emphasis on "global" in global market share which led them to think the answers could only be non-US based cars. I'll bet they also didn't pay attention to "affiliates", which is what GM had a bunch of at the time.
@@artvandelay7687 Exactly. They should've realized that just because the question was speaking to, "Global Market Share" doesn't mean that it only refers to automakers from countries outside the U.S.
That 1st first $200,000 question on tv favourites most that have appeared most times on the cover of tv guide really surprised me my answers were 1. Mary Tyler Moore 2. Bill Cosby 3. Lucile ball 4. My idol Bob barker Never thought johnny Carson would be one of them plus I was surprised the freebie took Roseanne away
I was stuck between Johnny Carson and Bob Barker myself. Then when I really thought about it, I figured that Johnny Carson was correct because he was very famous on The Tonight Show. May both legends rest in peace.

@@maxwellberk2914 Sadly, Sharon and her team missed out on the $500K on 4-14-2000. That was shocking and disappointing to see Dachshunds over Poodles. I reacted - WHAT! It's Dachshunds over Poodles. I thought for sure it was Poodles and I was pretty shocked and disappointed about Poodles being a wrong answer. That was simliar to 1-21-2000 that it was Jane Fonda over Sally Field on the $200K question. and even more painful ending the episode on 4-14-2000 - Julian rapidly says Airplane, Monique thinks it's a wagon, but since Julian seemed so confident, she accepts it. Sadly, she should've gone with her instinct. Too bad she didn't change from airplane to wagon.

The first and only $500,000 question on selling cars was really hard and tricky my answers to that were 1. General Motors 2. Volkswagen 3. Ford 4. BMW Never would’ve guessed Toyota I never thought they would have the highest global market share but man that was tough and plus I’m definitely no car expert that’s for sure
I knew all the answers. Including the Toyota answer. If you think about it, Toyota is one of the biggest car companies in the world. They ship out many cars around the world besides Asia. Not to mention, BMW cars are too expensive.
It makes sense that ford and general motors would have been one of the answers u think about how many car brands they run like Chevrolet, Buick, Cadillac they had Saturn and Oldsmobile back when this aired. Ford had its Lincoln brand as well as the Mercury brand. Volkswagen own many of the European brands. Would have been a toss up for me between honda and Toyota they both well known brands. Hyundai didn't really sell that many cars like they do today and BMW couldn't be one there more expensive to buy compared to the other options
