Made this tonight, very last minute. Easy, uncomplicated, in fact I think it’s important to avoid over seasoning this simple dish. I served it with grilled sourdough and not a drop was left. A definite keeper. Thank you so much!!!
I'm just so impressed with how skilled you are in the kitchen, Dimitra. The on-hand frozen garlic, the swapping and subbing of ingredients, the efficient movement and minimization of dishes...your talent and experience shine through in all your videos! I'll try this recipe out this weekend, thanks for posting.
Thank you so much for your thoughtful comment! I'm glad you noticed those little tips and tricks-I always aim to make cooking as efficient and enjoyable as possible. I hope you love the recipe! Let me know how it turns out. 😊
I make so many of your recipes for my children (ages 2 & 3), and they can never get enough of my cooking! Thank you for helping me raise two kiddos who are great eaters! 😂
I'm making this tonight with some leftover lamb fat from the lamb pot roast of yours I made (which was amazing). Thank you for you videos. I'm learning a lot about Greek cooking.
This looks absolutely delicious. I’ve made so many of your recipes and all of them have turned out perfectly. Thanks to you and your excellent instructions and videos. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for your kind words! I'm thrilled to hear that you've enjoyed the recipes and that they've turned out perfectly for you. Your support means a lot to me. Happy cooking! 😊
@@DimitrasDishes I’m making the blueberry cream crinkle cake today. I can’t wait, because like you, I love custard and you always make sure to do it just spot on. My motto is “if a little is good, more is better”😍cream…butter…feta
Very nice, I’m excited to try this dish with potatoes and herbs! I used to add some hotdogs to the peas sauce along with some dried thyme (learned this recipe from a girl in my dorms around 25 years ago and it’s a staple in our family 😅)
@@Aquababyblue unsure about which arabic version is talking about. But in morocco we make this either in a regular pot or a clay pot (tajine, which is better), and we put curcuma and ginger along with parsley and a bit of coriander (i prefer using ground coriander than fresh, but that's just personal preference)... It's more or less the same method as the video, we usually add meat either chicken or beef/lamb (meat needs to cook first to avoid veggies ending up mushy) You can also add a bit of preserved lemons, it really elevates the taste, and a few green olives would work too
Been thinking about something like this and haven’t had it since I was young and now can make it for myself! It the perfect recipe for me! Will make it tomorrow. Thanks Dimitra! Some crusty bread and Sheep’s Cheese. I can’t wait. It looks so delicious and I remember it that way too! Thanks again! It’s tomorrow now so I’m off to the grocery store for ingredients and crusty bread then back home to make and eat!
That sounds wonderful! I'm so glad this recipe brought back memories for you. It’s always special when food can do that. Enjoy your trip to the grocery store and have fun making the dish! Don’t forget the crusty bread and sheep’s cheese-they’ll make it even better. Let me know how it turns out! 😊
@@DimitrasDishes will do. Thanks! Just finished my second bowl. No need to tell you because you know but it’s delicious and so easy to make. And I bought the crustiest Italian Tuscan bread to dip in it…Thanks for another great recipe and enjoy your weekend.
Thank you for sharing that with me. It’s touching to hear about your sister, Dimitra. Cooking has a way of keeping memories alive, and I hope this recipe brings you some comfort and joy. ❤️
