may i ask, who were the soldiers that did the slow march when everyone was cheering? i often see them as the first group of soldiers marching in every independence parade. if i could describe the marching pattern, its basically one step on the first beat. if i could tell you where they come in, its after the vehicles. hang on, are they the evzons? and i think they're uniforms have a light blue tinge to it. happy belated independence day to greece from an iranian woman in Sweden.
Independent from what, they exchanged their independence for dependence on the EU and NATO, now they are slaves again, this is not what those Greek people who fought for their independence had in mind.
Unfortunately, Greece is not really independent. EU law trumps national law. It is time to take back sovereignty and leave the undemocratic and power-hungry European Union
