GEN 9 GREECE MYTHOS REGION?! In today's video I show off Pokemon designs for a brand new Fakemon Region which is being based off of Europe with Greece influences showing off Helenos Region's Starter Pokemon, Pokedex and the new Pokemon Gimmik called Type Burst Evolution! I don't like the fossils I like when fossils are original pokemon I mind inspiration from a previous pokemon but these don't look good in my opinion if it's not broke don't fix the Sandile and slakoth line ate fine the way they are.

1. Dionysius supposedly wears a leapord skin 2. Hermes is known for using a tortoise shell to create a lyre 3. Demeter gave birth to the god of swineherds 4. Aphrodite supposedly rose out of the sea foam where Uranus's blood spilled 5. Apollo drives the sun chariot and defeated the monster Python 6. Artemis is the goddess of the hunt, and has turned men into deer before 7. Ares has the boar as one of his symbols 8. Athena has the owl as one of her symbols 9. Hephastus probably created a burning robot horse at some point 10. Hera has the peacock as one of her symbols 11. Hades has Cerebus 12. Posiedon created horses 13. Zeus has the eagle as one of his symbols

I love all the Olympian forms, I just wish Hestia had gotten one too. Even if she's not as well-known she's still an Olympian (even if she got later replaced by Dionysus). I would love a support fire-normal Pokémon for her.

I've never been to Greece. But I am so fascinated with it's culture, I didn't learn much about Greek mythology until English class in High School, I think Greece would be a good setting for a potential Pokémon region, due to so much of the folklore surrounding the Greek Gods/Goddesses such as Zeus, Hades God of Underworld, etc. Love your video. 🔥

By all accounts, the Underworld was a shadowy and chilly place, not on fire (Note: Most of Hell isn't on fire either) Ground-Ghost is a really cool typing that fits really well

@@socialistrepublicofvietnam1500 No, Dark Ice would work much better, both in keeping with the original mythology and with older interpretations of Hell (Paradise Lost and the Divine Comedy, for example). Even Devil May Cry 3 got it right by making the Cerberus nunchucks inflict ice damage!

Easiest explanation for it's change in typing from Dark/ Fire to Ghost/ Ground would be that spirits (ie. Ghosts) are associated with Hell, while Hell itself is commonly depicted as under GROUND. It makes almost even more sense than it's original typing. Lol

I always thought if they did a greek inspired region it could be Brawn and Brain or Mind and Might, or something similar, since Ancient Greek culture put a lot of focus on both science and philosophy, and war and athleticism

The Helenos Region is pretty cool. The type burst mechanic is quite unique. My team would consist of: Hydroon, Cardinelle, Argaze, Dramixie, Olympian Grumpig, and Slimera.

First and foremost I want to gush over Tzatzikeel! I am a sucker for food based Pokemon, and the fact that there is a Greek region with a Greek Yogurt and Tzatziki inspired Pokemon is nothing but pure genius and I LOVE it! ❤ Now that I've gotten that off my chest, I would have chosen Pokemon Bronze for my version with my starter being Panikid because it is just so adorable! Pokemon on the team: Gladyr, Rainine, Altamoth, Fleyxo, Terimount, and Tzatzikeel. Runner ups are: Kulboom, Celebricity, Miasmatisse, Mosqinko, Slider, Khumulo, Naraniray, and Tundriff. And as far as the Olympian forms are concerned my favorites are: Torkoal, Sawsbuck, and Altaria. I'm also a big fan of the legendaries that I assume are based on the muses. They are just so cute and elegant!~

I did some research and I found out that the titles "Bronze" and "Iron" are references to the bronze and iron eras of ancient Greece. That is mad devotion right there for an imaginary game!

The addition of fairy and dragon starter really shakes up the typical avoidance of the oversaturated grass and water types. Fire needs a debuff just to stop it being the obvious choice near every time.

I have never seen an evolution that I immediately went yup thats mine till I saw stingeon. I love my poison types and that is the best poison eeveelution I have seen. Along with that someone finally designed a water starter I love again. Hydroon is on the team. Slimera is freaking amazing. I absolutely love it. Scorparillo blew me away when I first saw it. Definetly on the team. Theres some good looking mons to that I didn't mention. More than likely alterodile is on the team. Hymitate as well. Man there's just so many good ones

I love so many of these pokemon! They are all great. :) But if I have to be limited to a team of 6, then I would be a Water/Ground specialist, as these are 2 of my favorite typings, as well as Ghost, Electric, Fighting + Dragon. My team would be: 1) Rapidash (Water/Ground)(Olympian Form)(Type Burst) 2) Hydroon (Water/Dragon) 3) Rainine (Water) 4) Agroknot (Fighting/Water) 5) Houndoom (Ghost/Ground)(Olympian Form) 6) Alterodile (Rock/Ground)(Fossil)

tbh I don't think I bounce with most of the OC pokemon but they got some real slick ones still. Banglow, the water starter, and Draycon are easily my favorite of them, though there's a few more good ones, those would make the team with the rest being the new forms of all the old pokemon, and aside from maybe a handful of them all the new forms are real hot

Tydra would be on my team, for sure. Panikid would be a close second. Cardinelle(Female form), Funkub, Dramixie, Hyimic, Scorparillo, Feliniar, Banglow, Mixkub, Celebricity, Sawsbuck, Noctowl, Altaria, and Houndoom. Would rethink the names of the eeveeloutions... Like 'Hemleon' after Hemlock for the poison type, or Spectreon, after 'Spectre' for the ghost type. But that's just me.

Props to the author of the region if was really well done. As a future dark/fire gym leader I appreciated the duel type elite four. Artemis is amazing favorite goddess and favorite type specialist hopefully could learn a lot for mh own future gym from her. Way to go infamous for showing off tbe region. Personal Rules: I only list the stage 1 pokemon in catch list because I love training my pokemon from baby form but if they don´t have a baby form I will list the pokemon as it is. However once I reach the final team list I will only list 6 fully evovled pokemon since that is team I will use to challage the elite four. Lastly if a new evelotion of an old pokemon appears and I want it I will list it´s baby form even if it already is a real pokemon. Starter pick: Tydra is an easy first pick for me. I looks like a Nessy and am a sucker for that and it is also soooo damn cute I have to have it. First look I got on it and I loved it instantly. ON THE TEAM YO. Catch list: Argaze, Funkub, Mediray, Xishy, Spartant, Shriff, Basileye, Hyimic, Dewoof, Falinks, Fruipecker, Scorpariollo, Gigrilla, Larvearth, Calpha, Kulboom, Banglow, Keatone, Fraggle, Drastal, Iranus, Phennyx, Quetzate,Thuratos. Final team: Hydroon, Milatant, Tundriff, Minomega, Banglow, Draycon. And done! What is your team anyone who want to do what I did. My team: Hydroon, Celaia, Type Burst Banglow, Elyseon, Tundriff Early Game and Thuratos Late Game. Back-ups: Basiliant, Minomega, Stingeon, Type Burst Tzatzikeel, Draycon, Khumulo Thunderstorm Form, Olympian Arbok, Type Burst Olympian Houndoom, Olympian Mudsdale, Type Burst Yanmega, and Type Burst Argaze. I love this region.

Bruh theres so many good ones like Felyxo, Banglow, Mosqinko, Tzatzikeel, Miasmatiss, and of course the regionals like Houndoom, Rapidash, Arbok, Mudsdale, and Sawsbuck. None of the starters got my attention so if I were to play pokemon iron i would have to go with Slimera since seviper is cool looking and honestly dont get much love. Elyseon, Rainine, Tundriff, Basilant cause I like salazzal. And Bisharp cause it holds a special spot in my heart

Hydroon as starter for water and dragon typing, Have to take Argaze or banglow with ice or electric and fire being one of my favourite type combos would have given it type burst if houndoom didnt have it, Elsyon looks really cool so that one too, Basiliant aswell, Olympian houndoom because houndoom is my fav with the type burst cause well gotta give it to the ace pokemon and minomega prob id also go for draycon but in most runs i like to not use the pseudo legendary ob my team

4:20 technically Pokémon CAN do a dragon starter now. If it’s grass/dragon then fire can be fairy,ice,poison,flying or bug type. For fire /dragon water has to be Ground or rock type. Then lastly water/dragon the grass starter gotta be part fairy. Which is at least balancing and the starters here the grass starter is part fairy so still has an advantage against the water starter even tho it’s grass typing does neutral damage
