Πολύ καλά το λες, Γιουλι μου! Είναι δύσκολο για μένα να επικεντρωθώ μόνο σε ένα πράγμα, οπότε όταν νιώθω πραγματικά απογοητευμένος, πάντα λέω στον εαυτό μου - εντάξει, χαλάρωσε, η Ρώμη δεν χτίστηκε σε μια μέρα! 🙏🌻😅

Κανω μια ωρα τα ελληνικα καθε μερα. Τωρα κοιταζω βιντεο επειδη το προβλημα μου ειναι να τα ακουσω και τα καταλαβαινω γρηγορα. Ευχαριστω γαι τα αργα ελληνικα βιντεο!

Στα ελληνικά αυτή η φράση ακούγεται κάπως «επιτακτική» 😅 καλύτερα να πεις, όταν πραγματικά θέλουμε να δούμε πρόοδο και επιτυχίες βάζουμε τις δικαιολογίες στην άκρη 😊

The disadvantage of giving the Greek verbs in 1st person singular is that it doesn´t show to which conjugational group the verb belongs, so the student doesn´t know how to conjugate the verb in other persons, let alone tenses... It is the tradition from classical Greek (where it is not too practical for the learner either!), yet the form which shows the conjugational differences most clearly is 2nd person plural : γράφετε - μιλάτε - οδηγείτε. It is THIS form which should be given to learners.

@ivanrumanek Well, the way to understand the conjugational group is from the accent. If the accent is on the stem is group A (γράφ-ω) and if the accent is on the ending is group B (μιλ-άω). And this is obvious even in the first person.

@@Linguatree Sure, but the final accent doesn´t distinguish μιλώ from οδηγώ. Believe me, I´ve been self-studying both classical and modern Greek as an ardent lover of your language and this is one of the things that would help me as a learner immensely! Theorists who are native speakers don´t realise how helpful this would be to the student. Anyways, I enjoy your videos very much, they help me understand spoken Greek. Thank you very much.
