Youre doing just fine, in fact, compared with all the other parents I have watched go through this process, I found your video (and your little gorgeous baby) really refreshing. Why? Because you actually contemplated what the experience was like for your child, and how your decision(s) about something as seemingly insignificant as: "To bean, or not to bean..." could potentially shape your child's view about green beans. The significance of this is not lost on you and that really makes my heart smile after watching dozens of other parents go through the process of feeding their child the first "real food", and proceeding to assume that the faces they make are all out of disgust, and the food that doesn't stay in their mouth is being "spit" out, also from disgust. These parents seem to be devoid of any kind of empathy and lack the ability to understand the experience from their child's perspective, not their own. They seem to be completely ignorant of the fact that their child is experiencing food hitting every taste bud in their mouth-most likely for the first time--of course they are making goofy faces! DUH! They are experiencing a literal sensory explosion on their little palates that have previously only had breast milk and/or formula...Then in addition, they all feed the child incorrectly: they drag the spoon UPWARDS and scrape the contents of the spoon on the upper palate, behind where their front teeth will eventually be and then wonder why their baby spits out half of what they are fed, they assume it's because the baby 'HATES GREEN BEANS (PEAS, AVOCADO, ETC.)" It never occurs to them that they are scraping big blobs of paste-like substance on the roof of the kid's mouth--question: what happens when you get a big spoonful of peanut butter on the roof of your mouth? Exactly, you use your tongue to push it forward to get it off the roof of your mouth so that you can actually swallow it properly. That is exactly what the baby is doing: pushing the food forward getting off of the roof of their mouth--so they are not necessarily disgusted and spitting it out, they are most likely just trying to eat what the parents are incorrectly feeding them...Ok, sorry for the ranting and rambling, LOL, I really appreciated your self-reflection, you have a beautiful child and you are a really smart woman--you are already a fantastic parent-here's hoping for more like you!
Amazing! Thank you so much for this insight! I grew up with really terrible parents, and I had no idea there were good people in the world. I started this RU-vid channel as a way for people who grew up like me to find out that there are good people out there. Even if I have no clue what I'm doing. I've tried to follow my intuition throughout my life, especially with kids, and even today my purpose is to show how good life can be, different from what I experienced. Thanks again for your comments! This has given me a lot to think about. ✨
To cute my granddaughter would shake her head when we gave her a food she doesn’t like or is done eating. She is adorable. I love how mom is talking to herself you need to give your baby healthy foods but you have to read your baby to she hates the green beans. All you need to do is make them yourself or find a cold pressed baby food and you will see her eating them as she does her carrots.
They say to try a few bites. Then wait about a week then try again. Try like that a couple times. If no luck give a longer break and try again. If none of that works, I guess ask her doc. Maybe the doctor will have a better suggestion.
Mom,try abit of water to wash away the icky taste and maybe your😇😇😇😇 won’t gag sooo much.....maybe try again in two weeks after she has tried another different thing...you are a great mom😍😍😍😇😇😇😇. 🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼🍼☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️☕️
If they are not having a good experience....shuddering..spitting them out, just stop for now and try again when they are older. There are plenty of vegetables to choose from.
Yes they are! You are right! This can happen when women don't have moms. I don't have a good mom. I didn't have anyone to teach me or tell me how to feed babies. This is why I made RU-vid videos of me failing -- so a younger me would know what to do and how to care for babies in the future. ✨
