This album had a death grip on my fourth grade class. One girl "borrowed" Dookie on cassette from her sister. Our class proceeded to share the tape with every student. My little 8 year old brain couldn't understand all the words, but I was in love with Green Day since then. One of my first good friends was formed over both liking the band.

I was in fourth grade when this came out too...all the boys were obsessed with it! This one kid thought the lyrics to basketcase were, "Do you have the time to listen to me, why?" Haha

This is one of if not my favorite song off dookie and the more raw sound makes it sounds more authentic and angry and it’s amazing!

This song is so underrated. I used to make my Green Day mixtape back when I was a teenage. All the songs in Dookie album included. It was a masterpiece. Now, every time I hear songs from Dookie, I close my eyes and feels like I'm travelling back to my youth days. It was full of struggle, but I survived and now I'm happy to remember it.

How does my brain remember these lyrics??? It’s been, at the least, 20 years since I listened to this specific song. I love this release of the album. It feels nostalgia but also refreshing since it’s a different rendition we haven’t heard. Love it all ❤
