This song is about a girl named Juliet that the band met on tour. She fell in love with Billie Joe, but was rejected for his current wife, Adrienne Nesser.
+tisha inot I was 15 in 1992, when this was released. I listened to this album every day on a cassette tape, in my walkman, wearing my gigantic pants, on my skateboard with tiny wheels. No phone in my pocket, just a wallet with a big chain on it.
holy fuck I can't believe I used to listen to these guys when I was in second grade.. they should have extended that guitar solo.. make this a 15 minute song..
I miss these solos! And Kerplunk! seemed to have quite a lot of cool sounds like BJ playing with the feedback in the intro and Tre & Mike’s complimenting it with something a bit different. More weird & experimental than later
i wish i was alive when this album came out... unfortunately it was 8 years later i was born and i didnt get to have a physical copy of this album... nor did i actually listen only recently i can say i understand how good their old stuff was
+Michael Earley they did a re release of the album and 1039 smoothed out slappy hours, I was born in 95, bought the re release when i was like 12 iunno lol but if you're dedicated enough to want a physical copy you can get your hands on one
Also 15 We can't go back, but we can remember. We owe it to the people who were around for this to respect their great music and realize we'll never have what they did
stop this wrong generation bullshit! we got seminal albums in the history of music, like DAMN by kendrick lamar etc, plus we have easy access to old music if thats what you want. good bands are making excellent music every day. get over yourself
@@lelgaming2475 bro that's not true. It may be bullshit, but none of the new bands make any good music anymore. well. not what you hear on the radios. Punk will never die, and it will always stay the way it is.
Just because the clash changed their sound didn't make them sell outs. Green Day never sold out, they just grew as a band and made even better music. American idiot was an amazing album, regardless of what you think of green day's "punk" status.
Well, now i am commenting about your comment commenting on my comment that's commenting on my previous comment, problem ? And yes, i thought it might be fun to put that comment i just did.. And i enjoyed it :)
I'm just writing this because I'm supposed to be writing an essay and I want my mom to think I'm actually typing. So anyways, how's your day been? Mine's been rough. I'm a Redundant Jackass. I was Hitchin' a Ride, but was left on Stuart and the Ave. Now I've been walking on the Boulevard of Broken Dreams ever since. I'm in misery and I think it's about time to Walk Away. The thing is, my Mom's sort of like The Grinch. She's a Walking Contradiction, somewhat of a Basket Case. Well, Welcm 2 Prdse!
And Justin Bieber. And Carly Rae Jepsen. And Goyte. And Rebecca Black. And Jenna Rose. And Rizzle Kicks. And One Direction... the list goes on, and on, and on...
i know, but i didnt count the ep's ( like slappy and 1000 hours ) or b-side albums, and since it was a b-side album, i didnt count it. but it would be my 7th fav, if i counted it
For some reason it always skips on this song on my CD. I have no idea why because it's not scratched and it's been doing this for a long time. Even after (properly) cleaning the disk, it still skips.
